Generally good service for test/x-rays. Great care form the Childersburg clinic I rate my healthcare team 5Start plus. - That said I have been denied the use of the choice program even though my dermatology appoint is still over 30 days away - My primary care doctor has made two referrals to the community choice program but both have been denied. Initial appoint to dermatology was setup at the end of January and the appointment given was over 90 plus days away.
I want to thank the gentlemen who who help with the unloading and loading of the shuttles. I don't ride the shuttle but when i arrive in our car, being handicapped, I need help getting out of car and into wheelchair, They help me get out , make sure i get in wheelchair and get me down to the transport room. When we get thru and I am waiting for my wife to return with the car they ask me what kind of car and when she pulls up they get me to the car They help me get up and if i need help getting into car they stay there and ma... read more

Absolutely wonderful care and attention to detail. My husband had heart valve replacement surgery and the cardiac surgeon and his PA Byers are wonderful men. The CVICU & SICU nursing staff were simply perfect. Thank you so much for loving & serving my/our Veteran/s back to health.
For anyone trying to get help through the Caregiver Support program, please beware!!! Do NOT believe that this is an easy process or that the VA even wants to help a caregiver. It is obvious after talking with others that are in need in this area, that the VA does NOT care and they do NOT want to help you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Very disappointed with processes in place. Lack of seating in the ER waiting room is unacceptable. Patients sitting on the floor and staff passes by as if this is the norm. People coming in being helped by family because no wheelchair was available. This is not how a facility should be run and is an embarrassment. After speaking with the assistant administrator they actually provided seating. Why must that be the case, does no one else there care.
