My husband had a kidney transplant there and he was in SICU. Just wanted to say everybody was great! Very professional and very good at what they do. Thank you for taking excellent care of him. Also thank you to Dr Deerhoyt and all his group. Everyone came in to see him every day until he left a month later. Can't thank everyone enough.
It had been 2 years since my last visit there. I would like to personally thank the entire ER staff as well as the good people on the 5th floor. I spent the night after an inital ER visit. Everyone went above and beyond in my care, answering my Questions, and making sure i was taken care of. Thank you very much for restoring my faith in the VA healthcare system.
The service in this establishment is absolutely horrible. My husband is here AS WE SPEAK with a 99 fever & a earache so bad he can not open his mouth or swallow & the side of his face is swollen. He has been placed in a room & for OVER AN HOUR told he could not be seen because an earache is NOT A HIGH PRIORITY!! When did being in such pain that you are not able to do normal body functions not a priority!! This happens every time we come here. They should be here to serve Vets ppl that risk their lives for this country & they... read more
Let me start by saying I also called the patient advocate and left a message which was not returned (like another review stated). I was medically separated from the USAF in 2010 and have worked with a total of four VA hospitals since then (Seattle, Spokane, Portland, and now Birmingham). I can honestly say at the previous three I had great experiences. I can also honestly say my experience... read more
don't know what they are doing,or just don't care!
I had a colonoscopy done there. Everyone was very professional in the job they done.I always hear of bad experience at the any VA Medical center I've not had any even at a Client. The staff was outstanding on doing their job. Made me feel comfortable and relaxed. It definitely was one of the better places I've been too. Don't let others opinion scare you away. Look in to it yourself before you judge. A big Thank you to all of those who took care of me during my visit. I appreciate so much of the care I received there.
May 3, 2018 was in the ambulatory surgery are for a colonoscopy, camera up the butt. I saw and pointed out a very roach on the floor, it was over 2 inchs long. Not a baby. The nurse killed and disposed of it in the garbage. The nurse was extrmely good, a plus. I started noticing the house cleaning after the roach incident. house keeping is extremely poor . Floor moldings and surrounding areas extremely dirty . Corners not cleaned for months. house keeping manager and workers should be fired.
You facility has become a joke.
