I have been going to the neurology clinic for about 1.5 years now and even though I just received a new doctor, they are taking care of all my needs. I would recommend this clinic to all my friends. I have been in the VA system since 1992 and have been to VA hospitals in CT, MD, AZ, CA, WA, OK, NE, VA, GA, R.I, and am now retired in Alabama. I have been fightiing this issue with my neck, arms, and legs for a long time and here at the Birmingham VA they finally diagnosis the problem and are now mapping a course of action for ... read more

If you want to be ignored as a patient come here !! They'll let you die !! It's horrible . My father has been treated for two fractures here and it's the worst place I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy

I wouldn't take anyone to this place...my stepson was in there for a week..they lost his bag for a couple of days. He said it sounded like they were partying at night...patients couldn't sleep...the day he checked out they wouldn't let him stay in his room until I could get there to pick him up which is almost a two hour drive to get there. They put him outside after having major surgery no shoes because they lost them or someone stole them...he still has staples down his stomach and both groin areas...they did give him some... read more

I was very impressed with this particular VA Hospital. The staff and people there were so amazing and so kind. It was so different than anything I have ever experienced. We were treated with so much respect and care. I was very touched by coming there with my Dad. Thank you for honoring my Dad and for showing him and all Veterans the utmost respect for their service and sacrifice. He has always been a Hero to us. The respect, love and care there is excellent. I had to go there from Anniston Alabama, and they told me that I couldn't get travel pay, because my visit wasn't service connected. I am an uncompensated service connected veteran. I have also had problems trying to use the veterans choice program. The patient advocate sucks. No need trying them. The doctor that I seen was very nice, but the people in eligibility and travel is not worth a dime.

I am happy to say that these wonderful people have come through for my husband, more than frequently...in the past few months. I am on the verge of tears of joy. Other VAs have let us down. We have relocated to be near the Birmingham VA. Thank you ALL so much. Your tireless and caring treatment has NOT gone unnoticed. May the Lord bless and keep each of you.
