My fiance had surgery yesterday on his neck. They put him in ICU last night. And the nurse asked who is he voting for. He said not Hillary and she flipped a switch. She was mean and rude to him. She turned his pain med pump off and told him to grow a set and stop whinning. That was uncalled for any way u look at it.
There is nothing more grueling than your loved one being in ill health. Chronic disease wipes out their true personality and before you looms the daunting tasks of everything involved in your life and now their health care. We were in the Silver Falls clinic. We met with great staff who took time and really seemed compassionate, not driven by the data that must be collected and entered into the computer. People can say what they want about the Birmingham VA but I am here to tell you they have saved my life twice from breast cancer in2013 and I string of strokes earlier this year.thank you va
SINCE IT WAS MY HUSBAND WHO AN APPOINTMENT THERE YESTERDAY OUR EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL.THE STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT AND WE WERE WAITED ON IN A TIMELY MANNER.
I assisted my husband, who is the VET, with his "rounds" at the hospital yesterday. He was to have an MRI, Ultrasound and colonoscopy. Let me start with the shuttle staff...Top notch men. They were all so helpful with loading and unloading my husband in his wheelchair. And, also assisted me getting on and off the bus. Great men. With all the talk about problems and bad service from the VA Hospitals, (while I don't doubt it) these people should visit the Birmingham VA. The people are ALL nice, polite and respectful. The doctors are awesome. Even the food is good! ! I have nothing but praise for my Birmingham VA center. Awesome people, the best care I could ask for with my Daddy. I love it
You hear horror stories about the V.A., but not here. Everyone is treated with respect and care. They are busy, no doubt, but they do a great job. Wish all facilities were like this one.
My wife's dad has been in this place for almost 3 weeks he came in for a hip replacement and so far everything that could go wrong with his stomach has and manly because the nurses aren't doing there jobs ......so far today my wife has had to do the nurses job including CHANGING HER DAD'S DIAPER they say there short staffed......
