The Birmingham VA has been nothing but wonderful to my husband whom is a DAV. We have been going to Birmingham for 8yrs now..We have been very satisfied with all the care he receives from the entire staff..

My husband and I have always had great experiences at the Birmingham VA. My husband is a diabetic and a transplant patient so he has been through most of the clinics. The only one we have been displeased with is Podiatry. The podiatrist didn't seem to be very interested in my husband's issues.
They did a wonderful job as always. The staff made the Veteran I take care of feel welcome and cared for.
The nurses took really good care of my dad over the weekend. I'm truly thankful for them. He like his nurses so did my mom and my sisters.
EXCELLENT service every time!!! Everyone is always so nice, and it's obvious they love their job...and taking care of their patients!!
We have had some wonderful people this visit. I was loaned a phone charger by the staff to keep overnight and my husband was given a private room to accommodate me. Andrea and another PACU nurse (can't recall her name) were extremely caring.
The eye clinic is awesome just a long wait is all.
I am truly ashamed that the Birmingham VA can be this disorganized and uninformed. The employees are always nice and helpful but getting appointments and some of the doctors are so much less than desired. It seems like the doctors don't realize that some vets are not retired and able to come a go at the doctor's whim. Some of us still work and our time is just as valuable as theirs is.
