Absolutely no one cares for anyone or anything. I hope I don't ever have to come here EVER again. This is the reason Veterans would rather stay sick than face this hole of uncaring unknowing people. But I bet come payday they are first in line. Nothing works no one knows where anyrhing is

My brother waited over 3 hours for his chemotherapy treatment only to be told they forgot to order it.so that helped convince him to stop treatment. Something that could save his life.

I posted a need for the VA a couple of weeks ago. The VA person over FB put me in touch with the right personnel, and now I have received the medical attention I needed. Everyone was so kind, friendly, and very professional. Thank you all!

We arrived for my sister's appointment on time. Her appointment was at noon. She wasn't seen until 12:30. The procedure was an hour long. Then we proceeded to her next appointment that was scheduled for 2 p.m. We arrived at 1:45. She was not seen until 3:30. I'm not pleased.

The VA has a lot of bad "press" for sure. It is a system so huge that overall improvement may be insurmountable. I have had a few, very few sour experiences. At the Huntsville Al CBOC and the Birmingham Al Medical Center staff for the most part are compassionate and caring. I find that the level of care is more that adequate.

My dad went in for hip replacement ended up with septic stomach ,vomiting up bowel, bladder infection, breathing problems, delirium, and a stay in ICU let's not forget his bandage placed on hip by surgeon was not changed for 7 days after it became green pus and soaked with smell of rot. The experience has been a nightmare not at all how a VA hospital should care for any human. It took getting put in ICU to get some care and that to me is pathetic.
