I got an email stating i need to give additional documents, the mail didn't mention what documents are needed and the site doesn't provide that info either. the chat helped me reach to a human and i was told to call them and also send email with the passport. When i login to remitly site and they said congrats you are eligible for getting 5 gift cards $10 each time when I transfer money. I believed and did an transaction and got mail saying you r not eligible for gift card. I said what? Do not believe what Remitly says in their commercials. There is no such thing as free gift card for sending $300 within 15 days of signing up. There is no such thing as a reward for referring others to use Remitly. I've sent through these guys twice. Both times the money got there. That is not my issue with them. Remitly Scam! Please stop using Remitly. I initiated money transfer through Remitly using Express transfer(4 hours) for personal emergency. My transaction was put on hold requiring proof of address. I uploaded proof of address and called their customer car. Representative told me that it would take few minutes to verify it and informed that he would drop me a mail regarding the status of my proof submitted.
