1 day of electricity from them. Price hit $9/kWh. No you didn’t miss read that. Had to turn off AC for 6hours. Ended up using 54kWh for the day. Total cost, all in with taxes $66. Changed plans the next day. Too easy to get burned
Absolute madness. Their business model falls apart when it gets hot in Texas and negates any savings you get from the ERCOT rates at other times. Their alerts of high prices are delayed and they don’t do anything to warn you of long-term exorbitant pricing. 30 cents a kwh is unconscionable. Three times what the locked in rates of most providers offer. Dropping them in the morning. Their idea sounds good in the ads but executes poorly.
The cost for electricity per kWh got up to $10.00+. I'm bill for half the month was $400 for 1500kWh
Shoot when I was with Griddy i was getting ridiculous rates and my amount was already 257.00 in 2 weeks.

RecommendedI joined Griddy late July, and I don’t understand why everyone is so upset.... You’re buying wholesale electricity. It’s the HOTTEST time of the year, so the demand for electricity is SUPER HIGH. Turn stuff off!!!! Turn your ac up when you’re not home! Unplug stuff!!! There needs to be cap or they should be banned from Texas. Never imagine we'd be paying $9/kwh. No calls answered, no email replies. $740 bill in a matter of days! There are some families that have had their entire life flipped upside down and inside out because of this. I feel for them. We'll never go back.
Quit ripping people off. Was told the rate would be low. Was charged over $ 300.00 for a week and half of electricity
