They offer really low rates, and you get to keep them for the first month or so, but as soon as summer hits rates jump up to over 3$ a kilowatt. Over 700$ so far the month of August, and it’s only the 23rd. That’s for a single family, small, 2 bedroom home.
I’m reporting Go Griddy for price gouging and taking advantage of their customers to better business bureau.😡😡😡

Have some sort of program for absorbing additional costs to consumers. My bill for one week was $500.00. Yes it is true it was hot and a lot of usage but really!!!

Anyone thanking Griddy right now is most likely a suspicious review planted by “friends” of Griddy. There is no way to capture average savings in Houston this year, unless you absolutely shut off your power use the last few weeks. Here are my actual charges for August. My summer average bills normally run $300 per month. So far August recharges have been $1200. Shame on Griddy for their advertising and business practices, and shame on me for neglecting to keep watch on them this month.
TOTAL SCAM!!! DON’T DO IT!!
