The "uninsured room" on the 3rd floor is disgusting. If I could post a pic, I would prove it. Dirt and filth everywhere. Morphine not prescribed as indicated. Lung vacuum malfunctioning. Drain tossed in the floor when they took it out, and left there because they were angry that he wanted to be transferred to a different hospital. They discharged him (because he was angry about the lack of treatment) with a collapsed, bleeding lung.

My wife had double knee replacement on March 29th at Erlanger East. The surgeon was great. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the staff. She was moved to a room without me being told. I was the only one left in the waiting area and had to make multiple inquires as to where she was. I have no idea where she was. Once she was in a room I hope things would change. I've been seeing Dr. Mark Freeman , head of the Orthopaedic Surgery Dept. for some time now. Upon the first visit , we discussed my desire to explore all other options before resorting to surgery. I trust him implicitly. He's been fantastic in taking adequate time to listen and explain all options. The knee replacement , scheduled for 5.3.17 has been moved up to 4.3.17. His staff and team are ( so far ) similarly wonderful , carefully explaining each step and keeping me abreast of what I need to do to contribute to a positve... read more
World class hospital and everyone from the doctors, nurses, staff even the cleaning crew are wonderful and so nice and helpful. 10 star in my book!!!
I have had it with Erlanger! Have been trying for weeks to get my husband scheduled for a colonoscopy which was recommended when he ended up at Erlanger East with colon related problems. I am told I will get calls back. I do not. I tried emailing guest relations. No call back from them.. I am ready to go sit in their offices until someone sees that appointment is made. We have been very happy with our doctors there and with the surgeries we have had there. But getting through their system to make an appointment is absurdly d... read more
Thank God for Erlanger. This region is blessed to have such an elite hospital.
Was there for pre op and everyone was courteous and professional. That helps when you are already nervous about a procedure.
