Wellness plan is a scam they charge even after cancellation.
Worst place tech was very ignorant and rude. Was told my puppy was older than he is and mixed when not confirmed. Told me there health plan fully covers every puppy need come to find out it doesn't. Then to cancel same day they charged me over $500 just for reg visit I've paid less for 2 surgeries and vaccines in one visit at my old vet who retired. For them to tell me my dog is older and mixed without verifying is rediculous. I called to cancel there plan after finding out it doesn't cover everything like I was told it cove... read more
Good service BUT DO NOT get the insurance. I fell for that scam and now I'm hitting my head against the wall for it. $54 a month (you're locked in for 12 months). With the dog I had before we would go about every 6 months to get seen at a pet clinic in ******* (not Banfield) and I would never pay more than $230 for the visit (that includes medication, labs, etc). We have had our beautiful Golden Retriever on the wellness plan since *** 12, 2016. Unfortunately, on 2/11/23 *** collapsed and died instantly in the middle of us walking her. We brought her right to Banfield. We were totally shocked & devastated because she had just had her wellness check-up visit 1.5 weeks before and was given a good bill of health. In my greatest time of need- these people were very gentle, caring. My precious pass away and they are cremating my baby Spidey. They clip his hair for me going to *********** prints and I even received a card from them that touched my heart!

Wish I could give a ZERO star!! Our dog died of a dinner plate size spleen tumor 6 weeks after her comprehensive visit. If the vet would have at least pressed on her abdomen they would have felt the HUGE tumor that was there and there might have been a chance to save her life!!! SO -- not only did our dog DIE because the vet did not do a REAL Comprehensive Exam, Banfield will not let us cancel the WELLNESS plan of our DEAD DOG!!!!!! I wish I could give no stars! Could not access the Optimum Wellness Plan online. Had previously requested to not "auto-renew" the plan. Well, lo and behold, I recieved a notice from a debt collector (for the entire plan's year - not prorated from Nov-March). Never had such before and paid it. Called Banfield and "********" said that they emailed 2x (that email had been hacked and no longer in use) and called 2x but did NOT leave any message between November - March. I HATE Banfield! There wellness plan is a scam. Their policies are dumb & pricing is ridiculous. Why pay a monthly plan & still be overcharged for everything you take your dog in for. One of my dogs died & they wont let me cancel his plan without a $250 cancellation fee. Stay away!Only thing good Ill say, is the people on-site are usually very friendly & professional. Dont sign up, wouldnt recommend. Find you a good local vet.

I have been taking my cat Sapphire, to Banfield Pet Hospital located at ************************************************ for the last 7 years. Sapphire began sneezing excessively in August of 2022. After numerous visits to pet doctors at Banfield, a lab test, tablets and injections (all of which I paid hundreds of dollars for outside of her wellness plan), 7 months later, with no improvement to her condition, I was compelled to take her to another cat specialist who cured her in one visit.
