This place is a huge scam! We took our puppy there who kept coughing and was very lethargic. I asked the vet if it could have been allergies since we went for a long walk on a hay field the day before. She told absolutely cannot be just allergies and she wanted to run a bunch of test! So we did! Once all the test came back negative and $900 later she told me it was probably just allergies! They should be shut down for all the people the scam! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!

Words cannot express how upset I am with the process of canceling the Optimum Wellness Plan. Our beloved husky, ******, unfortunately had to be put to sleep on May 31st, 2023. I pay a charge of $58.15 on the 12th each month. I spoke with a representative regarding the cancellation of this specific plan since she is no longer with us. Most Veterinarians I've known over the years truly love animals. At Banfield, it's about money. They sell their "Wellness Plan" ($~800/yr for our dog), but it is a ruse and a scam. Besides yearly visits, if you need a quick appointment, you will have to call multiple locations and even then, it may be days to weeks to get in. Covered? Well, pretty much nothing is covered. I received exceptional assistance from **********, a nurse at the **************** Banfield vetenarian hospital. ********** is very professional, personable, eager to assist, extremely knowledgeable and all around a great communicator. She would make a wonderful supervisor at the Fyetteville, GA location. Schartie *******...
Avoid their wellness plan at all costs, it's not a benefit to you. You only spread payments out over a year. Then they auto-renew you every year, and NEVER refund any amount you DO NOT use. Not to mention raising costs for the plan EVERY YEAR! Started out around $25.95/month and now paying $45.95 for a small cat. That's poor business practices and shows me who they really care about.
My complaint is with their pet insurance. **************** premiums end when a person dies. At Banfiled. even when you pay for them to euthanize yor pet, they charge until the end of a 12 mo policy. This seems like poor ethics and fraud. They ******** for a period when they have no services to providr.
For two years, I have tried to communicate with the front desk and vets tech but it is always a challenge. I get one story over the phone and a different one when I get there. I will admit that I put up with this too long and got too frustrated. I had one dog signed up for a year wellness plan which included teeth cleaning and heartworm medication. For some strange reason they had me signed up for a year of the plan but only 6 months of Heartworm medication.. That does not make sense. They did this last year too but promised... read more
I agree with the negative reviews of Banfield Pet Hospital. Two weeks ago I took my cat to the pet hospital at ******** and ****** because he was having issues with his mouth. When I took him, the staff kept trying to get me to sign up for a yearly wellness plan. I just wanted the @%#! cat's mouth examined! During the visit, they did bloodwork and an overall physical exam, but they did not examine the cat's mouth in detail. I strongly DO NOT recommend Banfield as they still insist on dropping off pets despite the PANDEMIC being relatively over and they frequently have so few vets that it is hard to get an appointment at a convenient location and when you finally do get there, there is a LONG LINE and the staff turnover is ridiculous and once you sign that agreement, you are committed to paying that amount monthly and you cannot cancel until you have paid off some exorbitant bill that they charge for every little thing they do.
