We are currently a member of this plan, and will not renew. What a joke. We initially took our dog there to look at his eye. He has a tiny tumor on the outside of his eye that we would like to have removed. We got the plan did all the shots, and then took him in for teeth cleaning. They did give him ointment for his eye, which did nothing. so now they say we will have to pay the full price to have the tumor removed or we can renew our membership and on his next teeth cleaning they will do the removal of the tumor. They cancel on you when you arrive at the location and don't even apologize. Then, when you attempt to reschedule, they inform you that no suitable time is available for your schedule.
I wish I could give them ZERO stars. This is such a total scam. Their services are overpriced and their doctors are evidently salespeople in white coats because they figure out a way to run unnecessary tests and conduct ridiculous procedures. We were so unhappy after getting our dogs' teeth cleaned that we called to cancel, but now they're telling us we owe $400 for each dog. I had ordered medication through Banfield pet hospital home delivery service for my pet. When I forgot to cancel it due to him needing a different medication for a skin condition I got a notification that it was going to be shipped. i cancelled the order but had already been charged the amount of the medication. When they said they processed the refund they said 3-5 business days and that was all. They definitely charge you for the services they DONT provide. My senior dog of 13 is going down hill because she has been in banfields care. Switched her to a new vet in April that is quite out of my driving distance. Might give banfield another try at another location but I feel like the monthly charges are a scam. My pet has not been seen in a whole year! This is not a ************ Vet hospital as claimed, surgeries, etc....This is false advertisement and it took me 14 yes of being on their wellness plan, needing a full service Vet hospital for my dog's condition to find that out. They only state that to get you into a locked 1 year plan, where if your pet even dies while on the plan you cannot cancel the plan. That is absolutely ?? absurd!
I used Banfield's wellness program for both of my dogs and never had an issue until I moved and went to cancel. The nearest Banfield is an hour away from where I live now. I requested a cancellation of my wellness plan and was told that when we cancel a wellness plan before the end of the current plan year, there are two options to choose from. Disgusting, negligent company whose only focus is stripping your wallets and making your life harder. I only dealt with them when I was working at Petsmart(s), because it was convenient. My first go around, I had a horrific experience with my male dog where they messed up his vaccines (gave him the wrong one at the wrong time) and he got really, really sick.
