I returned an item at The Home Depot at Golden Ring in *********. I did not have a receipt for the item but I had the gift card that the item was purchased with. When I presented the original gift card the cashier advised me that I could not return an item without the receipt even though I had the gift card that I used to purchase because "people" like to steal items and get gift cards. Beware their credit card offers, they are late payment traps that can ruin your credit score. The clerk offered to sign me up for their credit card for a $20 off promotion. I did it and then forgot about it. I forgot I had to payoff the $13 remaining, so for two months late payment fees piled up and then a collector called me. I scrambled digging through my junk mailbox to find the Home Depot letter I forgot I got. I immediately paid it off, but my credit score has dropped 150+ points since then. I returned items after our barn was built . These items were charged on my one and only charge card, so the missing receipts should have been able to be verified. I was given a Return Denial with a phone number whose person who instructed me to call a phone number for a third-party return department that was a message, only, that instructed me to send the decline to a web address that does not work. Seriously? How unprofessional for a company whose IT department is clearly lacking in verification of previous purchases.

Horrible. My washer hasnt been working, we had three appts in December and still not fixed. I keep calling and complaining, last call: I asked for a new machine or reimbursement for a new machine and money towards laundry and was told to follow up Today as a decision would be made. Does Home Depot care about customer satisfaction? My experience as a customer shouts No! We placed an order in-store (******** **) for a refrigerator on 12/16. We selected a specific brand/model because of a promotional offer that comes with purchase.
