HOME DEPOT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I HATE I DID NOT CHECK THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BEFORE HAND. MAYBE,THEN I WOULD NOT BE IN SUCH AN AGGRAVATING SITUATION. THIS MOST RECENT BUYING EXPERIENCE HAS ONCE AGAIN SHOWED ME WHY I HAVE ALWAYS SHOPPED WITH LOWE'S. ON DEC 4TH I PURCHASED AND ELECTRIC WHIRLPOOL DRYER. If it was not for the associate today I don't think I would be shopping at Home Depot for awhile. I got a drone for my son from santa and it was missing half the piece so we took it back to the store. Unfortunately they don't have that product anymore. So I called on the 26th of December and the lady "upgraded" the drone and sent it with Expedited shipping. It was suppose to be here at my house on the 30th on December. Do not buy appliances in Home Depot Hamden . The team is not efficient not reliable and they don't follow through. I would not do business with them anymore . Lowe's have better consumer experience and efficient reliable team. I bought an washer and dryer and they made a mistake with the dryer order. I received a gas instead of electric. I had to wait 2 wks for initial delivery. When I tried to exchanges for the correct one, it took me 5 days to finally get the new order. I ordered two Behr paint samples individually that were delivered separately, both were damaged and leaking so badly they had to be discarded (were shipped in a padded envelope instead of a box and created a big mess while opening them). A customer service rep refunded my money for the first order, but another gave me a really hard time with a refund for the second, said they had to send someone to my home to see the damaged product and it was already in the trash. I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot on October 27. It was scheduled for delivery on November 2. The delivery shows up with a damaged refrigerator. Home Depot said I had to deal with the delivery company. After many phone calls and escalations I finally got a refrigerator delivered on November 9. The refrigerator worked fine for about two weeks then suddenly stopped working. Called Home Depot only to be told again that I had contact manufacturer because Home Depot gives you 48 hours to report a problem. I can understan... read more

Purchased a dishwasher online on December 9th with a scheduled installation of December 18th. The delivery team showed up several hours late - and wouldn't remove the old dishwasher, but convinced me to accept the delivery and they'd "come out quickly" to finish the installation once I removed the old dishwasher myself. First reschedule for installation was 10 days later on Saturday December 28th. My husband and I purchased a new gas range for our rental property on 12/10/2019 with a delivery and install date of 12/19/2019. We paid the extra feels for the full installation and to have our old range hauled away at checkout. The third party delivery company, ****** *******, did not deliver the range. I bought storm doors from home depot. Had them install them The bunched my doubble doors. And the storm doors. Nothing but trouble.

At the end of November 2019, I purchased an 18" Frigidaire Dishwasher from Home Depot because they seemed to be the only place that could promise a delivery and install before Christmas. On 12/13/2019, An contractor (most likely unlicensed plumber) from Spirit Delivery, Came to my house to install the dishwasher.
