Placed an order expecting an $8.99 delivery fee. I didn't notice that the fee changed to $35 on the final page. I called to complain about the change and it took nearly an hour to get through. Customer service would not change the fee so I said I would cancel the order. The increased fee was based on items ordered but did not change when those items were added to the order. First, let me start with the fact that I'm not the type to review companies and never thought I would have to review Home Depot, one of my favorite companies, but now I do. I have had the worst experience trying to buy a dishwasher for my family. It started with my wife and I deciding to upgrade our dishwasher. I had a horrible experience with ordering my doors. My order did not come as expected and my wife was furious Giving that we waited so long and we paid over 4K total for storm doors and two exterior doors..... The store manager Paul gave me $500 back. As a long time consumer of HD I can honestly guarantee that I will never purchase anything from them again. I placed an order for 3 appliances back on 4/3/20 with a delivery date of 6/3/20. I wanted to allow for plenty of time to process my order since and get delivery considering the current environment with COVID...On 6/3 the appliances were delivered, but when the drivers uncrated the dryer they advised me that it was damaged and would be returning it. I ordered a large item and the shipping was a nightmare. The hold on the customer service number is so long - and there is no way to email or chat with customer service. Finally got to talk to someone after being on hold for 45 minutes to cancel the order (after waiting nearly 3 weeks to find out where the item was!). The CSR begged me to give them one more chance to deliver and that I would be compensated, that she would call me to make sure and I could call in. Home Depot on line ordering sucks. They charged me $69.94 for 1 garbage can that said $14.97 on my on line order receipt and now I have to wait to get the delivery of both of the garbage cans and take the stuff back to Home Depot myself and the other stuff they were going to charge me $55. for delivery of venetian blinds. Most of the things I ordered are back ordered and out of stock or they do not have it at all. Never again Home Depot. I am paying my card off and going to *****. I called and they insisted I drive 40 miles to find out how much credit was left on a store credit card. When I got there, they told me I couldn't use the credit because it was under my wife's ID. So, I was expected to have my wife drive 40 miles to be able to use the credit (in a community property state?). I told the lady I was through with Home Depot. She said " go to *****". I will. Worst attitude toward customers I have ever epirienced.

I had placed an order on HomeDepot.com for delivery. The delivery driver placed a small bag on my porch, and took a picture of it. The bag did not contain the many large pieces of lumber I ordered, or the hardware cloth. When I called their support number about my order, I was told that it had been given to a "vendor" and that it wouldn't be delivered for 7-10 business days. Home depot installation services (fencing in my situation) are a JOKE. I scheduled THREE different appointments for a "virtual estimate" because they refused to give me an in person estimate. All 3 times nobody called. I called back each time and was given the run around and then they just stopped communicating with me. Wasted a whole month where I could have had a fence up dealing with them. Absolutely would NOT RECOMMEND.
