I started a flooring project. Went to Home Depot in Calgary Alberta Canada. Near the end of the project I discovered I needed another piece of trim. Back to Home Depot to discover that they randomly discontinued that item in that colour, though they continue to sell the flooring. Drive around the city to see if anyone else has that item. If I could give this company a negative amount of stars, I would. I have been informing anyone and everyone I know or meet to NEVER purchase anything from Home Depot stores again. They have easily been the worst company I have ever dealt with. The company employees are slaves of their computers, and lack the initiative to order a $10 item into the closest store. It has gone on for several store inventory truck deliveries, and no one is human enough to get the item in the store. They simply say what they are programmed to say: that the Beaverton store is out, that my only choices are to go to the farther store that has 4 in stock, or to pay postage online and have it delivered. I have been trying to get a refund for a portion of an online order I never received. I am unable to speak to a customer representative as I continuously get pushed to automated phone menus. I decided to dispute the transaction with my credit card since Home Depot Customer service was no help. My credit card company says "The merchant has advised that the merchandise was picked up in a good condition from their store". I ordered a dishwasher, gas stove and over the range microwave on 7/16/20. Home Depot sent me an automated email that delivery was expected on 8/4/20. However, I was not updated until the actual date of delivery on 8/4/20 that the item would not be delivered until 8/14/20, which was way too late, not to mention I was well over two weeks and could have purchased these items from a more reputable company and had the items delivered on time. Out of all of the things I've bought from Home Depot, the first time of trying to file a claim on an item that no longer works, was a very, frustrating, and one of my worst experiences dealing with a company. I tried to file a claim for a generator and uploaded my receipt THREE times. Talked to several representatives and nobody acted like they wanted to help or work. We attempted to have new carpet installed by home depot and it was a complete disappointment. We had someone come measure our floors the day before and then went to the store to make our selections. The associate there was completely useless and rude. He informed us that we should have made our selections before we measured and that we made it more difficult because they don't actually do the quotes in the store. Buying an appliance? I'm an idiot, I guess. I bought a new LG washing machine at The Home Depot, Southlake, TX on 10 July 2020. Delivery scheduled for 04 August 2020 (delay due to Covid-19, of course). The delivery folks would not remove my old washer from its pedestal nor install the new washer on the old pedestal.
