Disappointed with Home Depot in Maryland. Think twice before buying appliances from Home Depot. They do not honor their installation contract. We ordered a dishwasher online which included installation. They dropped the dishwasher off telling us it was a two part delivery and a licensed plumber would be notified to hookup the dishwasher within 24 hours. On 9/9/2020 I ordered a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher for over $5,000.00 with a delivery date on 10/27/2020. On 10/26/2020 we received a e/mail saying they would be delivered between 1 and 5 on 10/27/2020. wanted to let you know how unhappy we are with the service that your company provided to us. Starting with the fact that the appointment was scheduled for 2 o'clock and the technician didn't show up until after 5 pm on Friday night. Our family was left without hot water all day long. From the minute the installer showed up, he was very unfriendly. July 4th, 2020 weekend, we purchased a 4 piece appliance package; delivered about 1-2 weeks later. Boxes appeared to be in good shape upon delivery. They were stored inside our main home, boxed, as the backyard guest home was still in construction. Two months later, our builder dollied the appliances out with my wife present. Worst experience as a consumer in my life: I purchased a workbench online and subsequently scheduled a delivery though the local Home Depot in Avon, CO. During my conversation with the store representative, the employee stated that the product was within their line of site (physically at the store). When the delivery date arrived, I received an email stating the product was out for delivery. When the product never arrived, I called the store the following day. Ordered a dishwasher to be delivered and installed. They installed it incorrectly so it's been leaking water behind it and under my sink, but I didn't catch it (bc it's behind the dishwasher) until a few days later and Home Depot says they will not fix their incorrect installation because I didn't catch it in 48 hours. On Monday, July 27th, Home Depot was supposed to deliver and install both my washer and dryer. I paid for this so that I would know it was hooked up correctly and I could have "no hassle" getting it installed. What I got was the exact opposite. They claimed that water lines where corroded and also refused to hook up the dryer. They did nothing but drop them off and even bent the tubing going out the back of the dryer. They didn't hook up the gas line or level the washer even though that had nothing to do with the water line.... read more
I recently purchased a major appliance for over $2,000, but unfortunately I selected the 240 v variety instead of the 120 v variety. Since I didn't have 240 current at the location where the unit would go, I asked HD to exchange the unit for one that would work. We are utilizing Home Depot to replace all of the windows in our home. We signed early September 2020 and Home Depot just cancelled our installation date... the business day prior to when they were supposed to install it!! We took off several days of work for them to complete this. Furthermore, they do not have any idea of when they will have our windows ready for insert.
