For the homeowner Home Depot is terrible on a good day and below that on bad days. It is impossible to get an employee to assist you. The best you can get is "we will get someone to help you" which means nothing as you will get bored and leave or on a good day another customer will help you. Contractors may like this place for the materials they need for their business which may be ok some of the time but in many cases their prices are too high, but then they just pass the cost on to their customers. I am extremely unhappy with the service provided by The Home Depot. On 10/1/20, I purchased a new LG top of the line Washer and Dryer from The Home Depot on Coursey Blvd. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. When the appliances were delivered on 10/24/20, the dryer door was to be swapped from opening left to right to opening right to left. (This dryer also opens from top down.) I ordered this online last Sept. 28, 2020 from Home Depot. After the initial expected delivery date passed, I started calling up to find out what happened as the status online wasn't being updated. A week after the delivery date, found out that Home Depot missed some paper works as claimed by the freight forwarder (YRC). Do not shop at Home Depot! They have horrible service and need to learn how to take care of their customers! What a Pack of Thieves at Home Depot. Bought a Greenworks Pro 300 60V power inverter with battery and charger for $219.95. Only received the inverter and battery. Called Customer Service who acknowledged the 3-piece purchase and said they would check the vendor. Called me back two days later and said missing charger was en route to me. If I check the website for an item I want,it is often listed,along with the number of items available at the store. When I get to the store,the item is often out of stock,or has been substituted for another brand of the item. When I call the store to confirm that the item I want is in stock,the phone rings for several minutes,and I eventually give up after 4 or 5 minutes and hang up.
