Bought a florescent light, the ballast died after 3 months. I was told that i am out of luck for a replacement since their guarantee is for 90 days only. I had to buy another ballast to make it work. I am keeping the receipt. Not happy with their customer service.
We bought a dishwasher (with installation and haul away) after we moved into a new home and found the existing dishwasher to be broken. The first Home Depot employees showed up with the new DW, brought it inside, and found they weren't able to install it due to an unforeseen plumbing issue. They did the haul away, but they left these huge dirty pieces of styrofoam because they didn't fit in their truck - they said they're normally supposed to take them. Visited Home Depot located at *******************************************, on September, 19, 2021 at about 10am. Near empty store on Sunday. Was trying in vain to get attention to any Home Depot associates for 25 minutes! Wanted to buy several tools from aisle 11. Asked one to help me disconnect security device, but he went away. The Home Depot protection plans are tantamount to fraud. I purchased a protection plan when I bought my washing machine 8 months ago. I spent two weeks trying to contact the manufacturer via email and by phone because Home Depot customer service told me that due to the machine being under a year old, it is still under the manufacturer's warranty. Home Depot is the worst! I ordered a refrigerator and it was supposed to be delivered that following Saturday ( got rid of my old one the day before delivery date). I received a phone call right after I disposed the old one stating "IT WONT BE DELIVERED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY" ( unbelievable). Home Depot sold my son new appliances for his newly built home. Unfortunately, the delivery service that was used was a third party called RAS Delivery of Alcoa TN. They were HORRIBLE!! There were several re-schedules and when they finally brought them out, they were afraid to drive the last quarter mile because it was a curvy, gravel driveway and they were in a rented truck. Ordered a refrigerator that came with a damaged freezer handle. It was delivered through a third party. A 4th party was scheduled to come and fix the dented freezer handle. When the repairman showed up, he looked at the damaged handle and said "you need a new handle it will take over 2 weeks to be delivered". 4 weeks after the delivery of the fridge I have to wait to have something fixed. Home Depot, on 7 Mile, Livonia, MI - Bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer. Did not get delivery as promised. Called the store and was transferred numerous times. No one could give us an answer as to what happened. Delivery came a week later without any calls from their transit company. We paid them to install the appliances. When we tried to use the washer it was leaking water from the hose. When we used the dryer the vent hose was not connected and hot air via gas was filling the laundry room. Home Depot commercial credit card and loan project experience is completely unacceptable. The information given for both the commercial credit card and the loan project which I got approved for mentions after getting approved you can get activated and get a temporary shopping pass to used until you plastic card comes in the mail. There are special discounts of $50 off or $100 off of purchases over certain amounts. I was not able to use this discount.
