I recently ordered a large package from Home Depot. When *** delivered it, I couldn't find it anywhere even though I did get a different package from *** at the exact same time. I thought that Home Depot would be able to help me out and open up a claim with *** since they needed the seller to do that, but instead they put it on me to call my bank and dispute the charge instead of trying to work with me to figure this out. I purchased 2 vanities last month. Delivery was scheduled for May 10th. On May 2nd, I contacted Home Depot to cancel the delivery of the purchase. I was told that although I contacted them 8 days in advance, they could not cancel delivery. I'd have to 1) return them to a store, or 2) arrange for pick up. My wife and I ordered flooring and carpeting from Home Depot. Biggest mistakes of our lives!After coming to our house twice at 6am, the installers realized the new flooring didn't fit correctly. Home Depot has the ABSOLUTE WORST customer **********************. I ordered countertops February 6 and its May 5th and I'm still waiting one. It came in the first time damage and I should have canceled and walked away from the order. The countertop has came in 3 times damaged. I purchased 16 windows from Home Depot in December of 2020. They said it would be February until they could install them. February 4th a crew came out and the back of the house was installed, then on February 5th they came out to do the front of the house. That is when the trouble started. They got to the last (3) three windows and one was the wrong size. I have been calling, contacting them for 15 MONTHS trying to get these last three windows installed! We ordered a washer and dryer on April 17th at the Home Depot in ****, **. Delivery was set for April 25th. The delivery driver arrived and everything was fine with the washer. The delivery man said the dryer looks like it was dropped and he said it was bowed at the sides. He said he will submit the return paperwork and someone would call me to schedule delivery of a new dryer. Home Depot has once again changed the process for applying veterans discounts to purchases. I understand that the initial change a few years back was that vets have Veterans designation added to their drivers license. Ostensibly this was because too many non-vets were claiming the discount for which they were of course not eligible. But HD changed this process and on my visit today I was asked tp provide my email and a password. I decided that I need to start shopping at Menards.
