I live within 2 miles of our local Lowes. Being a small, rural community I was thrilled to have a large store like Lowe's come to our community, one stop shop. Although the merchandise is great DO NOT purchase anything that has to have someone to come out and measure and tell you what you need. We've been putting Pella windows in the house a couple at a time and we were just finishing up with our last two this spring. I had an experience today at Lowes in Southern Pines. It could have been a disaster if not for Ken in their hardware area. I purchased 3 Kobalt cabinets which no one helped me select. The cashier did not get anyone to pick for me. It was Kenneth alone that found the units on a shelf in another area. Having to move a good deal of pallets and other things, he brought them out to me where he had instructed me to wait. Rescuing the sale, $600+ dollars.

I used to like Lowe's. Placed an order online for a Refrigerator 6/9/2020 with a delivery date of 6/18. Checked order on 6/17 to check status. Order cancelled by Lowe's with no reason stated or e-mail notification. Tried calling Lowes Customer service. 45 minute hold time. Transferred to different department and then hung up on. Called back, 45 minute hold again, talked to rep, then was disconnected again. After 2 hours of hold and disconnects, gave up. Being thick headed, I ordered the refrigerator again on 6/18/2020. SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND EMPLOYEES DON'T CARE OR EVEN TRY - Ordered Dishwasher June 5th with estimated delivery June 22nd - Idaho Falls, Idaho store pickup. On June 22nd our inquiry with the Idaho Falls store we were told that the dishwasher left Pennsylvania on June 19th and it should be ready for pickup in a couple of days. Unprofessional, misleading and disorganized. In short, late last year I reached out to John (Lowes Commercial Sales Specialist) in reference to having a fence built at my home. John worked to measure and detail expectations around completion then worked directly with the builders through completion. Once finished the building supervisor (Mike) contacted me and asked that I sign off on the work. My Fiance and I ordered appliances on our credit card and they charged us twice. I called and they said it was a pending charge and it would fall off after the pending delivery was completed. However, this prevented me from being able to pay my other bills that were due that day, plus the customer service agent on the phone lacked in customer service skills and was of not much help. There should be no need for a consumer to have to provide security for a large corporation on a "pending delivery order". Disappointed in Lowes.... read more

Have been trying to exchange or refund a refrigerator that has ice maker defects. Lowe's says in their exchange or return policy they are committed to helping, however all phone inquiries (including corporate) are relayed back to customer care. After long waits for customer care, and taking the steps agents offered, I am only going in circles. We cannot resolve the problem, and Lowe's really doesn't care. I went to the Chattanooga TN Gunbarrel Rd. Lowes #0425 and purchased a $2500.00 Samsung Fridge on 5-26-2020 with a promised delivery date of June 9 2020. June 9th came and went with no phone call or notification. After spending 35 minutes calling the store and no one answering I finally got through to the appliance dept. and was told delivery was changed to June 16th 2020 that the fridge was backordered from Samsung. This review is in regard to Lowes Protection Plans. It is hard to reach them by phone . I have been staying on the phone for 30 mins to an hour, most of the time to no avail. The first call I made was on Feb. 12, 2020 for service to my LG washer which I purchased a protection plan for. It is now June 23, 2020 and my washer still hasn't been repaired.
