Currently on 10th hour in ER with stroke level BP for my wife and a doctor with blue scrubs and bald has the audacity to say to another couple waiting 10 hours that he doesn’t care if they have to wait (actually used some other colorful words) that they can leave for all he cares.
They took my wife back for surgery and brought me to the consultation room that was locked the nurse that brought me here called for security to come unlock the door and told me to wait right here they haven't came so I been sitting here on the floor in the hallway outside the rooms for about a hour now. it also took them 4 hours to get me out of the waiting room in the ER to take me back to be with her when we got here
You are a pathetic excuse for a hospital. You had a patient transferred from Hamilton in Dalton. He had a glucose of over 800 when he was there and over 300 when he was transferred to you. You didn't even triage him. You just left him on a gurney in the hallway for 27 hours. No food or anything for 27 hours. Had he gone into a coma, you would be 100% liable. Erlanger is not a hospital I would even consider. My father who is a cancer patient had just had surgery on Tuesday then retuned a day later only to wait in the er. He came presenting with chest pain and throwing up. My father has had two past open heart surgeries. He was set in the waiting area for over 18 hrs. He was not being monitored, no blood drawl, and no ekg. When he finally was placed on a dirty gurney and left to wait for a room (after my sister had called and complained). I find it shameful that Erlanger allows Doctors to operate under the Erlanger umbrella and refuse to accept worker's comp as an allowable insurance. No one on workers comp. asked to have to be there, a work environment caused the problem. My mother has a lung condition and for over 10 years she has gone to Erlanger to her lung Dr. Now Erlanger has new Doctors in there and NONE will accept her workers comp... Just shameful!
