Having security called on you is the last thing you should have to deal with when your at the hospital with a loved one. Also, it is stupid to call security on a family for having snacks in the waiting room but that is exactly what happened to my family along with several other families. Apparently, you are no longer allowed to have food or drinks in the ICU waiting room and they will kick you out for it. You can't keep snacks for later. Very important review, please read! We have been area residents for about 4 years now. Local residents speak highly of Erlanger and actually are hopeful a new location will soon break ground near exit 20. Recently we had a unfortunate medical emergency that forced us to your ER. Positives are: Staff, your staff is amazing. They work very hard to the best they can and it shows with each interaction Your hospital appeared clean and staffed well for a overnight hour. Took my 2 year old grandson to ER .. the Er nurse took his temp in his butt , and left a 4 inch piece of plastic in his rectum .... she was completely incompetent, and nobody in the Er seemed to even care ... not a chance in hell of ever taking anyone to Erlanger again ... still have never received any kind of apology... the nurse was a complete idiot

My dad is the NICU and I have to say how disappointing it is. We cam through the ER last Saturday and they were wonderful. Day shift in the icu is amazing. But the night shift is a disgrace! I would not recommend anyone leave family alone at night. The nurse in NICU told us last night her only responsibilities are to check vitals every two hours and give medication. 02.12.: I'm back home now from Erlanger Hospital. Despite what they initially thought, neither the CT Scan nor the MRI found evidence of a stroke. Great, but now what? Nothing. Erlanger Neurology Center and Hospital are supposedly the best of its kind in the region, but with the two tests being negative they gave up on me and released me, still in the same severe pain as when I entered, still with no idea what's going on with my body and with no follow up appointment etc. to heal me.
