After just moving here from Chicago ended up at this amazing hospital for my very first hospital stay ever in 47 years. I drove from Kansas City to Chattanooga due to my Uncle being in his last stage of cancer. Once there I was informed by my Aunts&Uncle (who drove from Minnasota) that my Uncle was being neglected, his catheter was in backwards with blood in his urine, the nurses had no clue on what was going on with him, no doctors around until the AM (what type of hospital has no doctor's in it no matter the time of day), and on top of all that, as my Uncle lay dying, they were giving him hydros due to the fact that he had no insurance. My partner was transported here for a trauma level 6 after a car accident. Now seven months later she is back and has had knee replacement. The compassion and attention of the staff is fantastic. I would highly recommend this hospital for any and all procedures.
My family has been at the hospital since Monday night. This has been the WORST experience. My grandfather is fighting for his life and the security officers are telling people they cannot sleep in the waiting room that they need to sleep on their cars. you cannot have food in the waiting room, you cannot have blankets. The cleaning people come in for five minutes and they say the waiting area is cleaned,no soap in the bathroom, and dirty socks underneath the chairs. I would not recommend UT Erlanger Neurosurgery PA Megan Frizzell because she is very uncaring about your pain. She does not seem to be knowledgeable about her job. She made me wait 30 days to return for X-rays & MRI results that she ordered. When I returned she had not even looked at the results that she could have looked at the next day after test. I had to suggest ideas for solutions to my pain. The office staff is terrible when you call. They don’t follow through with your call. I do recommend Dr. Paul Hoffmann & his inje... read more
provide better patient care. Provide within reach, a call button (that worked) check on alarms when they go off, contact doctor about medication when needed.
The superior care and incredible staff here are consistently a pleasure. I have yet to meet a staff member that wasn’t an angel in the flesh. Bravo!
