I have to say how disappointed I am in the handling of the emergency room at the downtown location. My husband and I arrived at the ER on Tuesday around noon and was admitted 2 hours later. In a total of 3 hours after arrival we were able to go back to a room where we stayed until 7 the next morning, at which time we were assigned to a wall with a number and plaque. about 9 years ago i was transferred by ambulance to erlanger where i underwent several surgeries for an abdominal stump blowout and a complete abdominal reconstruction. Dr. Robert Maxwell was my surgeon and this man by the hand of God kept me alive. i was in a medically induced coma for 38 days and in the ICU for 54 days and my husband never left my side. the staff at Erlanger treated me and my husband with excellent care. as the years went by i was getting sicker and i was afraid to undergo another procedure. i was seen by ... read more
I give them a one star simply because there isn't a lower score. Cruel, rude and lazy staff.
They saved my life because of a Glioblastoma I had no clue was there. Only 3 weeks in, but I'm here.

I personally think Erlanger is a great Hospital. They gave us a chance to have a daughter thanks to a doctor Rebo there that works for the NICU unit diagnosed Theresa early enough to give our daughter a chance to live it was a struggle at first but they made it thank you Erlanger Hospital
My mother died and the 9th floor staff was supposed to pack up all of her belongings from her room. Well the next day I realized that they had "forgotten" to pack up my glasses, and her bathing supplies from her room. 9130. So I called the 9th floor nurses station and they said the supplies were all thrown away. I'm talking about large brand new bottles of expensive hair, and bathing products. Wonderful nurses and doctors. I have spent many nights down here with my husband. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone.
Erlanger has apparently eliminated our fabulous Doctor’s position with no notice to her nor to us. Don’t the patients have a say in such a decision or some warning? Evidently, we’re to take what we get and be happy about it.
