First of all, I feel so sorry for ******* on the loss of her pet. How can any business charge for services when you cannot give any service anymore. It is like you keep paying insurance after you're dead. Absolutely ridiculous. They are all about making money instead of providing proper care/service for our pets. My experience was similar; they gave the rabies vaccine to my pet even when it was not due. Major concern over inaccurate records on our pets regarding medication ordered through Banfield home delivery and insistence on unneeded tests required due to inaccurate records on medication. Today I called Banfield Hospital in *********** @ The Rim to order our pets flea, tick and heartworm medication. **** informed me that we couldnt order the prescription because we last visited in March and failed to order her medication and we could get it filled only after $55 heartworm test. Horrible experience, never did blood work as I asked vet won't let you go in while examining pet. Was told to go see a surgeon and first question was how come no x-rays or blood work? Dog had infection that was not treated because banfield didn't do blood work

My dog died a few days after they renewed him for the next year. They absolutely refuse to stop charging. So, I am forced to pay for a pet that is dead. They are disgusting.

My dog had an appointment on April 16, 2022 at Banfield in *******, **. I brought him in for health issues and they did basic blood work on him which found nothing. Upon checkout, we paid $167.18 for further blood work. Its been 2 months since that appointment, I never received the results or know if the samples were examined, and a vet (which they keep changing; my dog has seen 4 different ones) never called me to follow up or relay a treatment plan. Signed up for optimum wellness plan because it was explained to me that it would be more convenient in case of emergencies and would save me a ******************* in the case anything urgent happened to my dog.Boldface lies. When I actually needed my dog to be seen because of bowel issues I was informed that they "DO NOT handle emergencies". Have had recurrent issues with Banfield. Paid for the annual membership and even upgraded to include imaging after a visit where my puppy wouldnt bear weight on his leg. They said it was most likely just pretending for attention. Weeks later I took him for a haircut at PetSmart, staff there cut an eyelet of skin off his paw. They said that by policy they had a Banfield vet see him and my dog was ok. There was no record of that encounter and no one returned my calls. Switched locations. My only hopes for this review is that it will save someone else from going to any banfield. Because we all know their company isnt fixing anything. Go to a local vet!! The services are over priced, a lot of staff should not be working in customer service let alone with distressed owners and sick pets. We joined an optimum wellness plan targeted for senior dogs last year. It seems great at face value. My 12 yo lab had severe diarrhea. I took him to Banfield off ********** in ************* **. The tech stated without any tests he has parvo. They tested him. Showed positive. But very faint. I had to wait another hour for them to run to another location to get a test. They stated it was positive. Sent me to an emergency place. Once there a **** for treatment was $3900.
