I personnaly inquired about simple guinea pig nail trimming service, for my kid, and was met with horrible customer service. A complaint was made and a manager called back. The manager was no better and could not address a simple kid pet issue. Very sad indeed. I am wondering, of all the services stated on their website, which one is a priority? Had a paper coupon for a free exam so I took my new rescue dog there. His ear wasn't looking too good and I was told by them it would be over $700 to treat, plus Mir emoney for antibiotics he needs for months after. I KNEW this was complete baloney so I declined and went straight to a pet supermarket store and bought a $9 ear infection spray, applied it 3x/ daily for a week and guess what. Banfield just lost another client. Weve been with them for years, had their wellness plan, and in any given year didnt even use most of the services included, so they made a good profit of us. Now that our dog passed away and I called to cancel the plan, they charged me $20 something in remaining balance. Come on, people, I understand that as a business you dont want customers to buy a monthly plan, use a load of services and cancel right away, but charging a grieving long-term customer a measly $20 bucks is just low. Banfield is STILL charging me the monthly fee for the Monthly Wellness Plan(***) even though I had to put my beloved dog to sleep at 12 years due to dementia and declining health. I was NOT informed about this during the 2 week discussion period with the Banfield vet and staff leading up to the very difficult decision to have my pet put to sleep. I pay every month no problem.. but I cant bring my son in till when the plan renews.. then chatted with a rep on the app they told me I had to pay 50 dollars to cancel the plan and I had a balance of 700 dollars for services I didn't even use!!.. he has not been seen since last year. I will NEVER EVER recommend this place.. and even though I have been paying every month it's always weeks out to even make a appointment to get in! Biggest scammers

I am just now able the to write this. Its been 6months since my ****** boy has passed away. He was diagnosed with a heart murmur which was checked on a regular basis by Banfield. I made it a point to have him in there every month if not a couple times a month to make sure he was comfortable towards the end. We booked an appointment for our cat at Banfield - TWO MONTHS in advance. Received a confirmation email. I could see an appointment on their app. When I called today to confirm, they said there is no such appointment. Another appointment is now after a month. BTW, we are on a monthly premium plan. And yes, when they rescheduled it, it got updated in the app. Conclusion? There was an appointment on their calendar. They are just waiting for the plan to end and not perform covered procedures.

They have you pay a monthly fee to help care for your pet but are utterly unable to schedule you in for anything besides routine checkups a month or more out. For example, our dog had a simple sore spot on his ear that he was scratching. We needed him bandaged. Two weeks until they were able to see him for a simple bandage. We've used them for too many years and had too many problems. Simple things - like a credit card change. They call you with an automated message that your card needs updated.
