I would give them no stars if I could. After 2 years of paying a monthly payment for their Wellness plan, I called to cancel today because we moved and there isn't a Banfield where we moved to. The company is refusing to turn off the auto pay on my card and will not stop charging me. They are now telling me I have to pay for the rest of the plan and the services used. When I signed up, I was told I could cancel at any time with no obligations. I was lied to. This company is STEALING MY MONEY!!!! THIS IS ILLEGAL AND A LAWYER ... read more

We have been with this ** for 71/2 yrs paying for the wellness plan, and while they try to accommodate the masses, if your pet has anything other than ************ could be detrimental. My dog needed more as he got older and when I tried to cancel my wellness plan, they continued to charge me while listing my dog as deceased. Actually, he could easily have died has he stayed on his regimen instead of them acknowledging his extremely high *** Its good for routine basic care. My dog needs better than Doc in a box

I had their stupid wellness plan for my cats. For the kitten, it seemed worth it because it included the spay. Then I got sucked into a senior plan for my older cat. At the last appointment, I was told she has a large kidney stone and needs a tooth pulled, again. Due to possibly having a heart murmur, it would be extra so they could give her medicine for her heart. The procedure to remove the stone and run other tests would have been over $500 WITH the plan. If I could give a negative number of stars, I would. Banfield has continued to send e-mails and postcards reminding me that my dead dog is overdue for vaccines and check-**** I have contacted their customer service multiple times asking them to stop. They come back with no compassion or humanity and make me jump through hoop after hoop to provide account information - even years after I have cancelled the plan. Their customer service is horrid. My pet insurance welness plan with Banfield Hospital was renewed in April 2023. 3 months later my dog passed away, so I called them in order to cancel the insurance plan but they say that I will have to pay the entire membership fee for services that for obviuos reasons my pet is not going to use any more? Be careful people because they don't care about you or your pet, they are only interested in your wallet.

I really dont know what can be done to undo the experience my dog and I have encountered recently at Banfield in **********, **. I have taken all my dogs there and I have referred family and friends to them. But now I understand why there are so many bad reviews about Banfield. My dog Summer went there this Friday for a routine dental cleaning. Summer is not just a dog, she is my child. All my dogs are my kids. Let me be the next of many on here to say, DISASTER. Stay away. We've been ripped off. Not only have we been charged several times, we can't get a test result back from them that's been pending for 3 weeks, and we can't get out of our OWP plan. What a disaster. Please save yourself and stay away. I would have saved a lot of heartache and pain if I had read previous reviews.

My son was in the military and could not take his dog with him. I took his dog ***** to Banfield in ************, ** for a routine check-up and was offered the Optimum Wellness Plan because he was over 9 years old. I was told that the dog was ****** son's name so I said I was going to be the person responsible for his care and fees. So they said fine and I took over my son's plan.
