Everything has been simply amazing at Shadyside. From the hospitality to the care given. Each and every unit (area) were soo very kind, friendly and respectful Dr Christy.. WE THANK YOU sooo VERY Much for your wonderful and caring treatment you gave my Mom. And thank you for taking the time to come and speak with us.. that spoke volumes to us on the type of person you are. Our mother was not just another number, and you showed that. Words can not fully express the amount of gratitude we feel.
I have been to UPMC East ER many times for I have a illness which when it flares up I have too. I have had nothing but wonderful care at your ER and the times I have had to be admitted. The last time I was admitted just the 10th of May and sent to 4 west. The nurses on this floor were so kind, considerate, listened to my problems and treated me just wonderful when I was feeling so badly. Bless all of you that work on 4 west, your all angels in my eyes.

Pretty good and nice people. They get you back quickly but bad thing is you sit in the room longer than anything.
Nurses in surgical oncology were great, as for surgeon fellows...the one we had needs to work on his people skills. Any concerns of patients or family is met with disdain, or he took it personal. Now my daughter is paying the price for his arrogance.
