As I said in my other post UPMC likes to kick you when you are down. And leave you in the dust. They lie and cheat you. This by far is the worst healthcare I have had. It's disappointing that a company would do something so rude and inconsiderate �
3/15/17 - UPMC - If we could've left a zero grade for Dr. Marina Zaretskaya we surely would have. Bedside manner is condescending and abrasive. She lacks the integrity to do what she says she would do. Communication with her and her office is Kafka-esque. Stonewall and deflection. She does NOT partner with her patients and their families, rather takes the position of a bureaucrat - take it or leave it.
The pharmacy will rip you off and then not work with you to get your money back. Insurance fraud is what they did. Been trying to get my $ back since dec 14, 2016 and I keep getting the run around so be careful!
How often should a pick line be replaced. My son has had his in for 4 months. The visiting home nurse sent a message to his heart Doctors, she felt he needed a new one put in. She has not been able to get a blood draw form it for almost 3 months. It is stating to attach it's self to the skin. She also said it was getting sluggish. I cannot believe I have one week of physical therapy left. All those people made such a big difference in my life! Im grateful I got to work with such lovely individuals and I hope to continue doing my exercises. If anyone is looking for a place to go for PT I would recommend UPMC Centers for rehab services on racetrack road by the meadows. These people are awesome and very dedicated!! THANK YOU ALL for your help and support!!!
I am surprised at all the negative reviews. I was a patient in the Critical Care Unit At UPMC St. Margaret in July 2016 for 2 weeks and feel I received good care from the staff during a time I was critically ill. The dietary department was attentive as well. As far as cleanliness goes my room was cleaned twice a day every day of the 14 days I was in CCU.
On a ventilator, clinging to life, and rejected by 5 consecutive transplant centers that would not even review her case...my wife was brought to UPMC for evaluation. They cared for her, listed her, and performed a double lung transplant on her when nobody else would consider it. She's 20 months post transplant now and doing great. This hospital saved her life!
