Why is it every time we come to the emergency room there is a 12-18 hour wait for a bed? This is ridiculous period. My son has Sickle Cell Anemia and his Dr don't have direct admitting privileges. We can be at Hillman they send us over in an ambulance and we still have to wait 12 -18 hours for a bed. They can't put him on the pump in er so he just suffers the whole time. UPMC you suck for real the way you monopolize the healthcare system around here.
I had excellent care here in March when I had a catheter ablation done with Dr. Saba. I was admitted overnight. Every single person I had was absolutely wonderful, from the student CRNA, the CNRA, anesthesiologist, incredible nurses, Dr. Shah (Dr. Saba's fellow), I was treated with respect from beginning to discharge. The one PACU nurse I wanted to recognize was Amara. She was one of the best nurses I have ever had. My dad recieved excellent care from upmc after being transported from elch. His nursing team was extremely friendly and the doctors and nurses all came in and talked to me and let me know everything that was going to happen. Im extremely grateful for the hospital and nursing staff. Thank you for everything ��
