The staff at UPMC were great. I was very disappointed yesterday I could not get an emergency appointment with Dr. John Fowler yesterday. I hope he can someday adjust his schedule to take emergency appointments.
I received excellent care at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, from the Emergency Department (ER) until I was placed in a room. The ER was was packed with patients, but the doctors and nurses were professional and polite. Once I was transported to a room, some on the surgical team remembered me! UPMC Presbyterian is a huge hospital in downtown Pittsburgh, but it feels very much like a small town environment when you're inside.
