I want to cut all ties with this company FOR GOOD! Hilton's salespeople misrepresented the timeshare, its costs, and how it works. I have not made any reservations due to these deceptive tactics. I was scammed and they are in breach of contract due to their claims and falsehoods. I was offered free dinner vouchers to attend a 90-minute presentation (it lasted for 3 hours). My husband had passed away 9 months earlier, and upon hearing this, the salespeople said that my husband would want me to be happy and enjoy my vacation e... read more

In 2018, my family visited Liki Tiki Village in Orlando. Upon check-in we were directed to Member Services and were asked to attend a 1-hour sales presentation in exchange for a gift card. We were in the sales center for hours, being pressured by their employees to make a purchase. This took far longer than the one hour advertised, which left our son on the play area for an extended time. We left that presentation feeling like we had made an investment in the future for our family. When we tried to use points for a trip, we ... read more

Diamond Resorts has continually preyed on sales practices that promise much but deliver very little. The biggest lie is that an owner can reserve vacations at the time and place they want. Most times there are no rooms available where an owner wants to stay, but if you you independently go to booking sites like Expedia, there are always always plenty of rooms available, and for very reasonable rates, nowhere near what an owner has to pay to Diamond every year in maintenance fees. So, do not buy Diamond, just book by yourself... read more

Business response:

Unsatisfactory! There is always the lack of availability. Of course, from March to January 1st, there was zero availability, I had several reservations cancelled by the resorts, as resorts were closed, unsafe, travel was unsafe and unavailable, so my complaint is that Diamond made no refunds or reduction in maintenance fees for 2020 as vacations were and will continue to be unsafe through most of 2021. It is unjust and opportunistic grasping unearned rewards during the pandemic. Hopefully, the US Government will take notice ... read more

We were visiting Universal Studios in Florida when we were approached by Diamond employees and offered show tickets in exchange for listening to a presentation. The presentation was more than 30 minutes from the hotel where we were staying, and the presentation took FAR longer than the 45 minutes were originally told. The four different employees that we met with led us to believe that this was a fantastic investment and money-making opportunity, so we decided to purchase. However, we were not given the opportunity to view t... read more

Since becoming a member, I have never used this timeshare and will not use it in the future either. It was not well explained by the Hilton employees, and I have realized it is well beyond anything I can afford in the way of vacations. They made it sound so good, that it was an investment... this is far from the truth. The salespeople did a poor job of explaining all the costs to me when I signed the contract. Upon returning home I reviewed the paperwork and realized the fees also applied, which I had not been told before si... read more

Business response:

Lena, please know we have escalated your concerns to the proper team so they can address this all further. Thank you for taking the time to reach out.

Please do not fall for this guys.... they are thieves and will pray on you. I am an active duty member that when I came back from deployment they gave a stay in one of their resorts. They lied to me and sold me a point package that will not even get me a weekend a year. They took 20K my deployment money for this package.... plus I have to pay 1000 dollars for HOA. I tried to get out and they said if I lawyer up. That would affect my chances to get out of my contract. I have never been late on my HOA payments even though I ca... read more

We visited Parc Soleil in 2016 and were offered a monetary gift in exchange for attending a one-hour presentation. At this presentation, we were told that we should sell the motorhome that we already owned to make a purchase with Hilton because it would allow us to have the same vacation benefits at a lower cost. After 8 hours of this high-pressure sales presentation, we finally gave in, however, the down payment was significant, and we were forced to open a credit card with them in order to purchase that day. This has not b... read more

I purchased a timeshare from Hilton Grand Vacation Club and it has been one of my worst mistakes of my life. I have since learned that the timeshare is completely worthless, and I am unable to use it like I was told. I was led to believe that I was purchasing a piece of real estate that I could sell at any time like a normal piece of real estate. What a blindside it was when I learned that there was no value to what I owned. This is simply a complete liability and not the investment property I thought I purchased. I was told... read more

STAY AWAY FROM HILTON GRAND VACATIONS!!!!!! We should have been able to become debt-free in just two-three years but the timeshares have put us into a downward spiral of debt. We can't afford a maintenance fee or club dues so we put it on a credit card. We can't use our points for the year so we have to convert them to the next year which costs a minimum of $108. The fees are overwhelming and quickly add up. The stress of the financial burden is carried on my shoulders and I cannot relax anywhere. We are always working to tr... read more
