DO NOT TRUST DIAMOND RESORTS - I have a destination exchange certificate which can't be used I sat through the presentation for nearly 4 hours in July because I was told that i could use the certificate in Hawaii, so after the presentation they gave me the certificate, Hawaii was not listed, they told me that it would show after i paid the activation fee so after i did that NO Hawaii listed, they kept giving sorry excuses and then said it was never included and that the sales people didn't say that it was...well if they didn... read more

My wife and I signed up for a "Resort Preview" for a 3 night 4 day stay and had to pay $199. After we visited and attended the informational session we would receive a $150 prepaid gift card along with a cruise voucher for two for 5 days. We stayed at the Liki Tiki Village just outside of Orlando, FL. The resort itself was very nice as was our condo we were staying in. Then it all went down hill when he went to the informational session for them to try and get us to buy into their nonsense program. The first sales rep that t... read more

Save your time and money. This company does not care about its customers. They just want your money and will do whatever they can to get more. We have accumulated credit card debt as a result of this timeshare because we were advised to open a credit card to cover the cost of the down payment. The length of the presentation we attended was so long that we missed plans that we already had in place. During this presentation, we were given a tour of the facility and their representatives emphasized the benefits we would receive... read more

Don't get yourself involved with this company. Our timeshare was purchased earlier last year and we have not been able to travel or make any reservations. Due to this restriction, we decided to ask for them to void the agreement and cancel all obligations it entails. We have gotten no benefit or value from membership and were sold based on lies. At the presentation, we asked specifically if we would be able to cancel this contract 2 or 3 months later, and at least 4 salespeople said yes, we could. Although they have contradi... read more

Business response:

Ryan, our apologies for the delay. Please know we are disappointed to hear this was your experience. Please know we have shared this with the team and they will be following up with you directly via email to address your concerns further.

I was visiting Polo Towers in Las Vegas when I was asked to attend a update presentation. I told the staff many times that I was not interested but they insisted that it was necessary for me to learn about new updates. When I arrived , I was told this meeting would take an hour of my time. This could not have been further from the truth! I told the s ales rep that I was not interested in making any changes to what I already owned and that I was on fixed income and could not afford anything more. He told me that this loan wou... read more

We would highly advise everyone to not do business with Hilton Grand Vacations. It has been a nightmare since the beginning. We were not given a chance to review the contract before signing. No one explained terms either, so we did not know that maintenance fees were going to be increased every year. We were paying these even though we have never been able to use the timeshare, which is outrageous. This entire timeshare has created hardship and affected our family. Their salespeople insisted this was an economical way to tak... read more

Rod T They doubled our Maintenance fees....YIKES! At first I really liked having a timeshare with DRI, but now, I'm looking to get out of it. These people are bad. I will never tell anyone to purchase a timeshare with them or anyone. This thing would be great if they weren't so greedy and squiggly. I know they will never give us a break and its a buSINess as to how they treat us. I really hate the hard sales they do and I just go sit there let them talk and say...NO. then go home. DRI, you have no heart.

Business response:

Hi Roderick, we appreciate your feedback and regret to hear you are dissatisfied with your membership. We strive to deliver a memorable experience for all of our members, owners and guests and take your comments seriously. If you need assistance with anything, please don't hesitate in reaching out to us by emailing *****************@diamondresorts.com. We are here to help. -GP

The timeshare was purchased in April 2011 with Island One (now owned by Diamond Resorts International) is paid off. We owe maintenance fees that we don't intend to pay because we don't intend to keep it. We are not paying the maintenance fees due on January 1, 2021 either; O.R.B.I.T. has a letter to that effect. We upgraded in April of 2013 and DRI bought them out later that year. We were happy with Island One; when DRI took it over everything went downhill. The maintenance fees went out of control. They took Hawaii and Mexi... read more
