Secondly when we did go to a resort in Orlando Florida, due to covid and social distancing they booked fully but had limited access to the pools and everything closed early hot tub pool etc. We got up early on the second day with my daughter to reserve a spot and out elevator was broken and we were stuck on the top floor. My experience at the Hilton Garden Inn was very horrible. The room smelled, the toilet didn't work and dirty with urine around the bowl, pool didn't work at all and doesn't state that when we checked in. I paid almost $900 for an experience for my son and I that is not worth it. Restaurant doesn't open until 5p-10p and the bartenders seemed racist. We just want out. We have repeatedly reached out to Hilton for 9 months now. We are either disregarded or ignored. The only help they have offered is a payment plan. We did not ask for that. We asked for a cancellation and a refund of all we have paid. Which is over $23,000. Since becoming members, we have never been able to make any reservations due to medical hardship. I stayed at Liki Tiki Village for one night and was given a smaller room than what I had paid for. Not to mention, I was first given a key to an occupied room after waiting a long time to check-in. The staff have been very rude and unapologetic every time I have tried to contact them about the issue. I was told I would get a refund for the difference but I never did. When we arrived in Branson, MO, at Diamond Resort's Fall Creek, we had no idea that we would need to attend a sales presentation. At this presentation, we spoke to countless members of their sales staff who continued to tell us all the "amazing" benefits of ownership with Diamond. The sales people told us they had a bunch of destinations we could stay at - specific locations - and sold us the sampler points package. It turns out we're only able to use our points for locations in seven states - most of which we never planned to visit. Luckily we're only stuck for two years. In 2018, I was looking to book some rooms for a family reunion. Hilton Grand Vacations called us to offer a free stay at our choice of locations and a free cruise just for sitting in a 90-minute presentation. We thought it was a good idea, plus we get a free stay in Orlando, so we decided to check it out. We thought they would give us a room at the resort because that, to me, would be the best way to showcase the resort, but instead we were given a room at a Hilton affiliated hotel. First, I highly recommend to everyone to stay far away from this company. They will tell you this is a great investment, you'll be able to travel anywhere, it's easy to use, and super affordable. None of that is true. The only thing this ownership has given me is a huge headache and debt! This is also not something that is easily rented or sold as they tell you in the meetings.
