This isn't so much about the quality of the resorts, they are pretty typical timeshare properties. It is about the customer service and high pressure sales. Calling customer service or receiving calls from Diamond is not pleasant. It is hard to get through, depending on who you talk to you get different answers, and if you don't go along with what they want they get very rude including raising voices and swearing under their breath, seriously. The sales presentations can be very high pressure and information can be totally c... read more

Working with Diamond Resorts, now Hilton Grand Vacations, has been the biggest headache ever. I've literally been sick over it. Their salespeople are liars that will say anything to manipulate you into buying a timeshare. Our salesman, Elie, acted like we were friends to make us comfortable with the purchase, going so far as to add us on Facebook. When he started the presentation, he told us our account had been red flagged. At first, we thought we were in trouble even though we never missed nor had a late payment. Now, I th... read more

Diamond Resorts puts you in substandard accomodations, they promise a reimbursement of funds paid when you go to their presentation, they lack knowledge of their program, if you own another time share they belittle you. Bottom line with resort fees and unreembursed funds. I could have stayed at the resort they put me in for less money if I'd of booked direct with the resort. My opinion is they are over priced and can't make dollar sense of what they are offering.

Business response:

I use my points to have an apartment when I travel instead of just a room. I go to member updates when invited. I was promised 3,000 points as an incentive for attending one in May and only received 1,000. Phone calls. Emails and an in person visit to the resort have not resolved the issue. Attended another update last week. I was promised a 3 day 2 night stay and $100 gift card. I received the gift card but they took back the stay because my income dropped during Covid. Hot tip! Escape from the presentation by telling them ... read more

We received a promotional discount to stay at HGVC in Kona, Hawaii. The only caveat was that we attend a 2-hour presentation. They took us on a tour of "Kings Island Resort" and provided us with nice robes to use and keep as we experienced the property. At first, we turned them down and they brought in another more experienced salesman to assist. They told us we would be able to pass this on to our kids and it would be affordable travel. Yet they never mention the fact that you will have to pay fees and they go up every year... read more

They tell you this is something that will make traveling easier, more affordable, and great to pass down to your kids. All of that is so far from the truth and they seem to fail to mention the fact that there are maintenance fees that continue to go up. The issue with all these Hilton timeshares is that they are never available for me to book dates for trips. They required a minimum of three days to use my timeshare but all the resorts had a maximum of two days at a time. Another issue was on our trip to Hawaii. When we firs... read more

Hilton Grand Vacations is a thorn in my side. My husband and I have been owners since 2015 and have NEVER been able to travel on this timeshare. This will say and do whatever it takes to get that sale, no matter how dishonest they need to be. Our sales rep gave us so much wonderful information about this timeshare, we were reluctant but excited to be owners. Too bad he left out the reality of being an owner. We found out that our kids would be responsible for the timeshare when we die and could even be sued for non-payment! ... read more

When they can't sell you...they sell you out. My experience was that if you use a Hilton Grand Vacation and you do not sign up for on of their properties that their "payback" is to sell your name and information to a whole host resellers who cal and promote themselves as being from Hilton Grand Vacations. Thanks to Hilton I now receive 3-4 robocalls, "To reward me for participating...". I've gotten these calls almost every week for 2 years. When I ask them to "take me off their list." They either hang up or tell me that (for... read more
