We have been HGV members for four years and are completely happy with our purchase. We just got back from a week at W 57th Club and had a fantastic time. We can hardly wait to go back. We have never had high pressure sales, and we have always gotten the benefits promised. I to am very disappointed in signing the line to purchasing a timeshare in October 2021. The presentation is very deceptive in that the true cost of ownership is not known until after you've signed the line. If more value was added it would make the purchase palatable, but as it stands now there is very little value. Eventually I know there will probably be a class action lawsuit which from as many negative reviews I'm sure there will be plenty participants. OMG so I wasn't the only one scammed into this, I wonder how Diamond resorts is even in the business with such worst customer service in 21st century when companies like Amazon/Costco really show the world how to treat the customers. I was contacted by phone by Hilton to take a vacation 4-day 3-night stay in a city of my choosing for $99. I was told I would need to attend a one on one seminar as well during my vacation. I could buy the property with them and be able to stay in it when I wanted anytime with no blackout dates. They said I could also Airbnb the property if I desired when I was not staying there. Me and my fiance stayed at Diamond Resorts for more than 3 weeks while our house was being renovated. While there, our car was broken into and everything inside stolen, including an invaluable laptop that had my son's baby pictures on it. Diamond Resorts then proceeded to put us through ****. They made filing a police report difficult, management lied and told us they didn't have security cameras, but police pointed out that they DID. The only reason I'm giving them a 1 is because I have no choice. While visiting one of their results at Cabo Azul with a family member who has a timeshare I was told I needed to go to the presentations. I ended up being sold a sampler plan. DON'T DO IT!! Pretty much everything that they told me was a lie. I do blame myself for not reading as much as I should have. Diamond Resorts International made a lot of promises they can't keep. I have been paying on my timeshare for over a year and have been unable to travel since non of their resorts in Italy were open for a long time. I have cruise certificates I can't use since I have to be vaccinated to take one (I've had Covid and have immunity). I just got ANOTHER bill for "maintenance" and all I've been able to do with my membership to Diamond is stay in a hotel in Orlando. What a shame...timeshare can not be rented as they compete against you. You can not sell the timeshare as there is no value to the timeshare. I was told to stop paying since they lied to sell me the timeshare....they then report it against my credit. There was never a notice sent to me they where making the report to the credit bureau. If you sell something by deception you are committing consumer fraud. They refuse to take a settlement to clear my credit...have to wait seven years.
