It is too bad that I must leave a one star for Hilton because there is no option for negative stars. If given the opportunity to put negative stars I would!!! Do not believe them when they tell you it is not a timeshare! That is exactly how we were misled. They trapped us into believing we were purchasing an exclusive member's only vacation club. We decided to attend Shot Show, January 2017 in Las Vegas. After arriving at the motel, we learned we would have to attend a presentation regarding the Hilton Vacation Club timeshare. During this meeting, they tell you that you could use your points for stays anywhere. We could have family get together's anywhere and what fun and exciting our travels would be. An absolute nightmare. Our experience with this company has been horrendous. Stressful and draining. We could be saving for retirement and not have deprived our 5 children over the years. We have made attempts to cancel, but it never worked. We were enticed to attend a presentation after checking into a room at Disney World during a work trip. This company is the biggest scam I know. they told me my deadline to set up a trip was end of October 2021, and when I called on October 31, they said it expired October 30. They wanted to charge me fees to reinstate the vacation, something they talked me into booking in the first place due to the pandemic. I will never stay with any Hilton properties going forward or even consider anything that's owned by them. I will make sure everyone I know knows about this scammy company and don't fall into the trap I did.

In late 2019, I signed up for a HGV promotional package 6 days and 5 nights in Hawaii. I was advised, I had a year to finalize my plans. In 2020, the world was hit was a pandemic. I called and asked to have my decision time extended. I given until 12/31/2021 to finalize my plans. I called and selected my resort choice July 2020. On 7/20/2021, I received an email confirmation which reflected a zero balance. This is a total fraud. I was booking a hotel on the Hilton phone line and after I booked my hotel the person came on and said "we have a promotional rate in Las Vegas for 3 nights. This person NEVER said anything about this being a timeshare. I would have told them I already have a timeshare and don't need another one. I paid $170.00 for 3 nights and 2 days later find out it's a timeshare. I have called them and sent them 4 e-mails and have not received one reply. Please save yourself a headache and do not do business with Hilton Grand Vacations Club. I have been an owner since 2019 and I wish I had just walked away from the presentation. When I checked into the Flamingo in Las Vegas, I was immediately approached and offered discounts on all kinds of things and free show tickets for 3 shows if I just watched a presentation for an hour and a half. We write this complaint today because of how distraught Diamond Resorts has made us feel. We feel so strongly that we have reached this point. We don't only want to file this complaint against Diamond Resorts, however we want people who are considering doing business with them to see this as well, to see the ruthless business practices they employ. I got an e-mail a few months back of a fantastic offer it was like 4 nights for $250. So I signed up for it. I bought it, no problem. I had to call to schedule my dates and I chose sometime early 2022. I originally had set on the location of Las Vegas but changed to Orlando. This was done with no problem, and I actually received a refund for $60 because there was a price difference (idk why or what). So that's cool.
