I was one of the lucky ones. Back in April of 2021, I was in Atlanta in need of a hotel room last minute due to an air bnb miscommunication. I called the Hilton and booked a room for the night. Before hanging up I was asked if I wanted to listen to a brief offer in exchange for a cheap stay in one of three select cities. We were visiting Disney World in 2017 when we first became aware of Diamond Resorts. We were approached by their reps, and they asked us to attend a 60-90 minute travel investment seminar. This seminar was more than twice as long as we were originally told that it would be, which was pretty frustrating when you are trying to enjoy a vacation with your family. Please do not do business with HGV! My husband and I have a timeshare with them and have nothing good to say about our experience in the last 5 years. The timeshare was sold to us on lies and misinformation. The salespeople made it a point to say we were not buying a timeshare; we were investing in property. This is false, we own no real property. We were promised we could sell the "property" back if we wanted to, but HGV has no program for this. There were to be no added fees, regardless of how many nights we booked, howeve... read more

It has been an awful experience. They sell you a dream and it turns into a nightmare. You pay monthly like renting a home, then you pay a substantial fee ($1700) every Jan. When you try to book, they are less than helpful. They sell you the dream of so many properties to choose from but nothing is available unless you can book well in advance, literally over a year. Who can plan that far out? We pushed our points the last 2 years because of COVID and now they took them away. Complete scam.

My husband & I visited 11/17/21. Right out of the starting gate the sales representative Tatiana was not impressive at all. She literally laid in her chair, didn't listen to our questions, sticking to her script and was arrogant. She pissed my husband off and he took a walk. She openly told me she didn't believe me when I told her what I spent on a recent vacation. Little did she know that I'm a travel agent. I have been trying to call and talk to a person for the last month. I have called twice a week and I've been put on hold for at least an hour each time and still not able to speak with a person. I want to talk t someone about expiring points and booking a vacation for next year with those points. I was told in a presentation that we could use the points if we booked by end of the year and put vacation together in those 90 days after the first of the year. I got caught up in the Las Vegas Hilton scam. I paid nearly $200.00 and agreed to do their 4 hour presentation. I needed to cancel 10 days in advance because of a family sickness. Not only did I not get my $200.00 back, but I got charged an ADDITIONAL $120.00 for missing the propaganda pitch presentation. I now for a fact that these people aren't sold out durring COVID. Hilton Grand Vacations has not lived up to their promises. I was sold a timeshare with "availability around the world" - and despite COVID limitations, I have been trying to book a vacation when HGV opened back up. Not only do they not have availability, but they make you "SAVE" your points by buying points in a sister exchange program - Which never has any availability either. We brought this time share back in October under the impression that we will be able to use it almost anywhere in the world and also gain our Hilton honors points in addition to booking the trips with Hilton's Grand vacation. Turns out all of that was a lie and the destinations that we told the salesperson that we were interested in traveling to are not even available. We've reached out to Hilton several times to try to cancel our contract and we're told that we would have to go into foreclosure. We haven't even used this ti... read more
