Frustrated and irritated, those words don't even begin to describe my experience with Hilton. My nightmare started in 2015 while on vacation in Las Vegas. I was offered free show tickets and a three-night stay at a Hilton Hotel under the condition of going to a sales presentation. I hope that anyone who reads this, especially older folks, are made aware what a cruel and deceiving company HGVC/Diamond is. In March of 2019, these crooks took advantage of our age, and we were conned in to a $66,000+ timeshare contract. My wife and I are in our 70s, I'm a Vietnam veteran and in the last two years we've both had cancer and I had stroke. Things have not been easy for us and Ytet they refuse to cancel our contract for the timeshare the deceived us into buying. They refuse to free us from this crippling debt.... read more

I am disappointed with the experience during the sales process. While vacationing in Las Vegas, we decided to become an owner, due to circumstances Hilton was kind enough to allow us to make monthly payments towards our downpayment. We paid off the downpayment in Oct. During the sales process, the Sales rep informed us our HOA fee is due the following year. Charges exorbitant fees for everything. For example, we are currently buying a second HGV condo and they insist that although we already paid an initiation fee of almost $400 once for the first timeshare we bought, that to join the HGVC Club for the the new condo that we have to pay the initiation fee again! Very customer UNFRIENDLY. One example: When you ask questions you get back an email from a no-reply email address with only the first name of the person responding and no phone #.

You get pressured into buying this vacation plan, then you can't get out. I haven't even been with them a year and they have already raised the amount of points needed to reserve a vacation place by 60%. Who raises rates 60% in one fell swoop??? Especially during difficult financial times. This is the worst purchase I ever made and will regret this the rest of my life!!!

We had been receiving multiple cold calls from Hilton offering us a 2-night stay at their Orlando resort, so we eventually gave in, even though we knew we would have to attend a one-hour timeshare presentation. However, when we arrived, this "presentation" lasted more than 5 hours!! We were told that making a purchase would allow us to go on several vacations a year, that it would be an investment we could pass on to our children, it would increase in value, and could be sold for a profit at any time. I got suckered into the 3 nights/4 days promotion for Orlando with the option to upgrade to Hawaii for 5 nights/6 days for only $699. I am getting married in April and we are honeymooning in Hawaii so I jumped on it. But every time I call Hilton to try to book one of the Oahu properties I get told a different story. Either nothing is available, which I find very hard to believe, or that May is not open to booking yet, which I find even harder to believe being that it's only 3 months away. Stay away ! My wife and I had the same scam experience as "Bry B" this past week in Vegas. A sales person that worked for the Golden Nugget told us that we would get 200$ and a free two night hotel stay at a Diamond Resorts' property if we went on a bus ride to "review one of their properties there in Vegas for 2 hours". The whole scam was to sell timeshares and it was a hard sell. they kept us there for well over 2 hours and had three different sales people try to make us buy.
