When paying my maintenance fees.... For the past 3-5 years, my Diamond Resorts maintenance fee billing statement includes an unapproved charge for a voluntary contribution that I have to call and let Diamond Resorts know I am not paying it. I ask Diamond Resorts each year not to include the unapproved voluntary contribution charge to my bill and I was told they cannot. Lastly, I learned this year the charge will automatically drop off once the bill becomes past due. Hmmmmm

Today January 31, 2022 I called Hilton Honors to make a modification on a upcoming reservation and at the end of my call I was transfer to a sale rep to tell me about the promotions. There was a great promotion for $199.00 4 days and 3 nights in Orlando. I listened to the pitch and decided to go ahead an purchase the package. I do not recommend, I am heading to Vegas to meet my sister who lives behind California hotel in down town. After a Hawaiian airlines called I was sent to Hilton Grand Vacations package deal side and was pitched this awesome offer but I wanted to decline, he kept pushing me to get it then I told the rep what I was planning to do and he literally told me it was a 10min walk from their elara hotel to downtown. I booked a package and reserved a room last night at a specific hotel on specific dates but did not receive written confirmation. (This was to replace an existing reservation I had at that hotel). They had no problem charging my credit card, though. When I called back today to inquire about confirmation, they said there was no record of my having reserved the room and, by the way, I have to take a 2 hour tour. Total scam. I was to receive a $150 voucher for a free night at any Hilton hotel, along with 25,000 bonus loyalty points for attending a 2 hour guided tour of the Marbrisa Resort in San Diego as part of my 3 night stay. When I arrived to the concierge at my scheduled tour time, I was told that they had no record of me having any tour scheduled during my stay at all, and that they don't even give tours on Sundays. In September, 2021, I called Hilton for unrelated matter. After the call, the rep. asked If I would be interested in a vacation package since I have been such a loyal Hilton customer for so long. I said sure so was connected to salesman about a resort package in Myrtle Beach. I purchased a package for 4 day 3 night stay but nothing was mentioned that there was a requirement to attend a very high pressure timeshares presentation. Do NOT buy into this fraudulent organization. They repeatedly tell you it's not a time share, but it really is. They sell you a points package which they say will get you a vacation anywhere in the world, but they fail to mention that the time of year will impact the value of your points. They tell you that you can choose to pay cash instead of using points, but they fail to tell you that it is only possible to do that for bookings 2 months out or less thus eliminating the ability to book a vacation way ahead of time using c... read more

Terrible "customer service"!! I emailed to ask questions about an issue during our upcoming stay. After a few emails back and forth with Leah, I determined that my issue would probably be better handled by a supervisor and requested that it be escalated. I got an email from Hilton Grand Vacations saying I qualified for a trip and there was a confirmation number. I called them to book the trip and told them I would be traveling alone and they said that was fine and I gave them my credit card number. They charged my card $167.62 and I called them back 3 days later and they told me I couldn't use the offer because I had to travel with my wife but I had previously let them know that she was ill and couldn't travel.
