We have made the initial investment to purchase the deeded property and have traveled to Hawaii for just $239 for 10 days. HGV staff found us a package of points that worked within our budget and allows us to stay in hotels at no cast during trips home to see our mothers in other states. BEST decision I have ever made.

Glad to see I am not alone. Diamond has treated us poorly from day one when they bought out Gold Key. All they care about is my checkbook and pressure tactics. No availability, no willingness to help, no concern for me and my family's hardship. I have tried all sorts of communication strategies and to date all they do is ambush me with phone calls. As you can see, its not just about hardship concerns. Its about lack of delivery on services and honoring your commitments. I was misled and lied to on numerous times during the sales process and numerous times since then. And, no, I will not provide my tax returns.
Diamond Resorts is a SCAM. We were told total lies and found out later that the lies we were told are ILLEGAL for timeshare salesmen. We were told that we were given such a "great deal" that they will personally resell the timeshare for us if we decide we don't want to stay.... well, when that time came Diamond Resorts told us that they would never say that??? HORRIBLE!!!!! Don't buy into HGV. I didn't, but should have gone into the appointment having read some reviews. The agent assigned to us was pleasant until we answered a question honestly. She asked what we thought of HGV and we shared that we felt it was a game and a scam. She looked at us, and said she felt "insulted", and then she proceeded to grab her things, got up and walked out. I am fully aware of the saying, "Let the buyer beware." For this reason I was confident that I could not under any circumstances fall prey to buying a timeshare. My confidence, along with my high opinion of the Hilton brand, lead me to step into their "not a timeshare" trap like a sheep lead to slaughter. Had I had any inkling that I would have said yes to their slick marketing ploys, I would have researched their HGVC product before enjoying the "inexpensive" mini vacation in Las Vegas at one of their locations. I would give them a negative 10 stars if I could. I bought a Vegas timeshare in 2016. I had cash to pay the full amount. However, the sales rep INSISTED I take out a loan since I should save the cash and I would be approved immediately for the loan. Turns out the interest rate is at over 10%, the loan provider is HILTON and I can't refinance it now. If I had gotten a loan through any normal bank, the interest rate would have been 4% or less! Diamond resorts should never be trusted. Very deceptive company where the consumer is look upon as pray for the for the sales organizations. After being a owner in a time share which I had no problems with for many years . Diamond took over and thing took a turn for the worst. Forget the rise in yearly fees. Diamond resort is a scam! They continues lie to the timeshare holders just so you can go to the next level they're the biggest con artist that's out there my husband and I went to a meeting we were a silver member and they convince us to become a gold member they told us all the benefits that a gold member would have included paying your mentainance fee with your points and all the other things you can do which is a lie! Diamond used to be a great company. NO MORE! The travel department is answered by individuals in other countries that you can't understand or you have to keep calling to hope for a US representative. They do not transfer you upon request. It is nearly impossible to get any reservations that you want, even when you are a platinum member or have priority due to where you purchased your points.
