We joined HGVC in 2017, and have really enjoyed some great vacations. The properties we have been to (Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Breckenridge, Washington, DC, and Hilton Head) are all first class, and the resort personnel have been friendly and helpful. We currently have upcoming trips planned for Stuart, Florida and Hilton Head and look forward to a great time at each. 1st of all- don't fall for the free vacation you get for even going to the "2 hour" (really 4 hour) presentation. They give you a code and tell you to pick a place on some website but none of it is Available ever. The activation expires in 60 days and after 59 days there is still no availability so by default it expires Before you can even pick where you wanna go! 2nd of all- be stern when you're in the presentation because you will have to say no a minimum of 6 times before they give up. then they treat you like **** after ... read more

First of all, I am not surprised whatsoever by how many negative reviews I'm seeing here. I'm sure it goes without saying, but, BUYER BEWARE. If you enjoy taking vacations, the best thing you can do is to stay away from HGV. We purchased a timeshare through them and we have not been able to use it at all. We attended one owner update meeting in Orlando, Florida. We have never been able to use the website, understand the point system, or reservation system. No one took the time to explain it to us or show us how to use them. ... read more

I bought a package at Philadelphia Travel Show last year on 3/10/2019. However, when I called the booking number listed, they said they can't find my package and won't give me any number I can reach the Diamond Resorts. So I went to the website and enter the form, only receiving an email saying "respond ASAP" with noreply email address. I also sent an email to the salesman who sold me the package, he said he would escalate to Reservation Dept. and let me know what's wrong w/o even with his name written down. Went with my parents to their annual owners meeting where they were pressured to upgrade to platinum. Not only that, but I was told I had to be on the note/contract as well since I was providing them money for a downpayment. I've asked to be removed from contract and the note as I'm trying to purchase a home (my parents would assume the note and contract) and Diamond is refusing to remove me. Additionally they were supposed to combine this new contract with an old contract and we were supposed to have a total of 53K points a... read more

HGV is a scam of the highest degree. Every time I think about the sales pitch we got, that was all lies, it makes my blood boil. He outright lied about my direct question of are there Caribbean locations. He outright lied about the maintenance fees. And boldly lied to our faces about the booking fees. We want out but we can't seem to get ahold of anyone when we call except the regular customer service folks. I've tried to find a place to stay so many times only to find there isn't a HGV near. And the RCI locations are scarce... read more

I feel like a real idiot for falling for this. I am a school teacher with a limited income to spend on travel and was convinced this would be an answer to my travel needs. Since buying in to the hgv club I have spent about $15,000 in fees and taxes to only be able to book one weekend in vegas. I get 4,000 points every other year which cost about 11k and those points get me about 3 nights in a nice hotel during peak travel times. My fees on years I get points are about $1700.00 and when I dont get points I still get to pay ab... read more

Diamond resort lied to us we had a presentation with Richard in las vegas he told us if we paid a down payment then we would only have to pay $1100 the first month and then Barclay would take over the loan and it would go back to our original $280 a month . that we didn't have to do anything they would send us the paperwork to sign digitally. They promise you the world then do not follow through and scam you out of what was agreed to and promised. They sold me a package at SnowJam in San Diego for a 4/3 hotel stay, 2 ski lift tickets at Heavenly Resort, 5-7 Resort stay, and $100 Visa gift card which sounded great! I went to go book the 4/3 hotel stay and had to negotiate since the hotel I wanted wasn't available, but we came to an agreement, however they never completed the transaction like they told me on a "recorded line" (agent was Christopher Cabo).
