So I hope everyone who has been duped so far reads this review. Anytime you get a call from Hilton Grand Vacation offering you a vacation - just know upfront it is a timeshare sales pitch. I knew exactly what i was getting into the minute i agreed to the 4 day/3 night deal. I figured it was worth it to get to Vegas for the weekend. Prepare for 2 hours of your time - I was told it was 90 minutes, but it ended up being 2 hours. They will go through their schpiel - the presentation guy will tell you how his and his family's lif... read more

I will say that my experience positive, I like many other received the same offer to visit the Hawaii property for 6 days 5 nights with a rental car, with the upgrade fee, I paid a total of 1500 dollars which was a good but not amazing deal to just sit through a 2 hour presentation. I hate seeing negative reviews because people didn't educate themselves of what they are buying, its expensive to own a timeshare, there is no limit on how much you will pay for maintenance fees, its very difficult to visit other places other tha... read more

On June 17, 2014, my husband and I purchased a time share with the Hilton. We applied $3,000 to the account. The monthly payment was $284,76 which we made in a timely manner. Additionally maintenance fees were also being paid. In June, 2017 we tried to upgrade. We signed and initialed the paperwork, but the purchase agreement was refused by the their auditing team because of a cross out of my initials. It was then that we realized how much the fees kept increasing so I refused to redo the page requested. During our conferenc... read more

Why is it that people have to leave complaints to finally get an answer? Signing up for a hotel package was the worst decision ever. My daughter, Tina W. posted a comment on this thread about a week ago. I did not want to have to do the same but after speaking to a representative I was left with no choice. I was told my package was non refundable. My husband and I along with my daughter and her husband, were all solicited at the same time while checking out of the Diamond Resorts in Daytona Beach on 1/11/20. We went down for... read more

Worst financial mistake of my life! I was young and naive when I purchased my timeshare 7 years ago. I stayed at the Elara Hotel in Vegas and was convinced to go to a timeshare demo in return for free show tickets. Hours later I was $20,000 in debt for what I thought was a good investment. In addition to the monthly payments, I had to pay $1200 a year in fees. Plus, anything you do cost money with HGV. Need to book your trip $50...Book it over the phone $100...Want to let a friend use it another $50. Now that I have paid it ... read more

As a result of Jerry being a Hilton Honors member, he received an offer to visit the Hilton hotel in Las Vegas for a couple of days. We knew we had to listen to a pitch to buy a Hilton Vacation Club membership. After receiving general information about the program for about an hour, the sales pitch began. It was very high pressured because we kept saying we did not want to buy into the program. The more we said no, the more pressure there was. Finally, after over 2 1/2 hours, another woman came into the meeting. I do not rem... read more

My husband and I purchased the Kaanapali Maui timeshare. It was Embassy suites at the time. It was a deeded timeshare for $45,000. We had to go through an actual escrow with this time share. They had two types of rooms. Ocean View (which we purchased) and non ocean view. Which of course was about half the price. In the 2000's Diamond resorts purchased the time share and changed everything. Our TWO BEDROOM OCEAN FRONT was now a one bedroom non ocean front room. They created new terms for the timeshares. "Scenic, Ocean View, D... read more

We wrote to Grand Vacations to cancel our contract thinking we'd have no issues requesting to cancel as our experience has been nothing but a disaster. We've been receiving advertising materials that told about our options to sell it back to the company and we reached out expecting an offer and this is what we received: "If you are interested in selling your timeshare interval, we can list it for sale on the resale market. We work with a network of resale brokers that will advertise to find you a buyer. The suggested listing... read more
