I just bought the Sampler Package. What a scam. I was asked to sign on an iPad and initial without getting a hard copy until after the transaction was complete. I was given the cliff note version of what I initialed. My bad for not asking to read before signing, but I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. Please do not fall into the trap of HGVC. They are vultures who are only after ripping you off. We have been fighting with them over a year now to be released of our contract that was sold to us under a pile of lies. They NEVER answer the phones and they take what sometimes is MONTHS to get back with you. Worst customer service in the entire world. My husband and I bought into the Sampler plan in March this year. When we went to Gatlinburg for a week, we had to sit through another presentation. Hello, I have been having difficulty contacting a diamond resort representative since the phones numbers provided in the brochure and activity voucher only provides and automated message. I did manage to locate a 1800 number from the diamondresortsandhotels webpage, I called and had to wait 30 minutes to speak to a representative. The call dropped after about five minutes and I'm having to redial and wait again for another 20 minutes. If there was a NEGATIVE rating, I would use it. Horrible experience! We were scammed into the "Sampler Package" in late 2018 (which apparently has been discountinued due to complaints). At the time we were not told that there was a very small selection of resorts these points could be used for. Due to Covid our April reservation was cancelled. This is the worst company! They lie all the time. I and my husband were told that we could refinance the timeshare outside and it was easy. When we repeatedly said that we were concerned about the refinancing options they assured that it is easy and possible and that they can take it back if we cannot refinance. I'm not sure who I'm more frustrated with Hilton, their resales department, their portfolio services, or Consumer Affairs. I tried accepting a buyback option through resales and got nowhere. I tried contacting portfolio services with my experience and it took, maybe 60 days to get any type of feedback from the company. Hilton Grand Vacations is bullshit. At least with the epidemic going on they would give you your money back when asked especially if it is YOUR money that you paid with. I didn't sign a contract! There wasn't a contract mentioned over the phone. I'm sure they are making enough money as it is so why do they try to keep your money. Money hungry asf. Do not book with grand vacations especially during this epidemic. I will be spreading the word about this. I am never going to the Hilton again. I REFUSE!
