Our friends gifted us a stay at one of their resorts in Lake Tahoe last November. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, today, I received a call from Diamond Resorts trying to get me to purchase. I stayed on the line when the first guy said to hold so he could get a list of "all the rewards I would be getting" when another guy (by the name of Jordan) hops on the line to tell me these rewards. This is the worst travel experience one can have. I don't care how nice your resorts are if as a member it is torture just to make a simple change I could do on an app directly in 5 minutes. Need help desk at Diamond Resorts then you better have at least 2 hours on the phone to get it done. Don't I repeat DONT EVER BUY ANY TIMESHARE FROM THESE PEOPLE. Biggest regret of my life. Hate it and makes travel the most stressful thing ever!!!!!

Purchased back in '14 as a means for retirement, but the problems began with the upgrade a few years later. Not sure what they really did to my contract but my flexibility to vacation since '17 has been a complete joke. They said the upgrade points would never expire. This is NOT true. Do not let anyone at Hilton tell you that points don't expire. It took a global pandemic to have Hilton even consider removing the fees required to book, roll over points, use RCI, etc. I've already voiced my complaints directly to Hilton but ... read more

Hilton Grand Vacation screwed their timeshare owners big time today. I received an official communication today that reads as follows "Hilton Conversion Ratios Saving this unprecedent number of ClubPoints for free for so many of you creates increased challenges for HGV. In consideration of this and the need to mitigate some of the impact from COVID-19, there will be a temporary 50% reduction in the Hilton Honors Points conversion ratios. DO NOT purchase a timeshare through Hilton Grand Vacations. My wife and I sat through a six hour long presentation and sales pitch, only to find after our purchase, that everything we were told was inaccurate. We were misled and lied to about the entire timeshare experience available to us. We have NEVER had the opportunity to use our timeshare and do not plan to in the future. Biggest regret of my life was being suckered into "discounted stay". Nothing was what they promised. The availability of the rooms was impossible to schedule around, they said I was have 12 months to use my trip and they immediately started calling back wanting me to schedule it or I would lose my complementary nights, My schedule was relatively flexible, but they were still unable to find a room at any of the locations I preferred. Where do we begin? We bought what we thought was going to be a great vacation opportunity for our family. It turns out that Hilton lied to us and misled us to believe that we could use it whenever we wanted and go anywhere in the world. This is simply not the case. We can't even use our timeshare, but Hilton continues to harass us for money. We have sent Hilton Grand Vacations two correspondence so far disputing the actions of their sales representatives during the presentation we attended. In each correspondence, we have made many points on their sales representatives telling us lies, making false promises, and misrepresenting the whole program. For almost a year now we have been in dispute with Hilton Grand Vacations on the fact that we were lied to and misled by their sales team. We have sent several correspondences to Hilton Grand Vacations expressing our issues and requesting a refund. They continue to respond to us by throwing the contract back into our face but we not disputing the contract. We are disputing the lies and false promised that the sales team told us.
