While staying at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas we were approached by a man offering us a 3 night stay back at The Golden Nugget the next time we visit. We made it very clear that we were only in terested in The Las Vegas stay and at the Nugget. We were assured that would be the case several times. We paid 199.00 at the time. They dont think they deserve a 1 star at all! Hilton had a promotion and it was a good deal. When I tried to book my reservation, they told me it is not available. The representative told me I can book at any time and didnt mention anything about booking 6 months in at advance. I also didn't know it is non- refundable and part of the timeshare. This was my first timeshare. Since I couldnt get a refund, I decided to use it this year for my birthday. The tour was supposed to be 2 hours long. It was at least 6 hours my husband ... read more

I'd like to start by addressing my initial contact with Hilton Grand Vacations. I was PROMISED a reduced rate to stay at one of their locations, which transpired however it led me into an expensive, frustrating, and disappointing experience. First I had a horrible motor accident that left me in a wheelchair, dirty and bloodied and when making the attempt to reschedule the presentation, the promised reduced rate was then threatened to go to the original price I was unable to afford. My wife and I were mislead at the beginning of this venture. The sales person for HGV was asked by me several times if this was a time share presentation. She said no several times. We did attend the meeting/presentation. However, when I explained to the agent assigned to us that we were mislead, she said sorry and go ahead and leave - no worries. We did. I just received a call that we would be charged $500 and change because we did not do the tour. All the agent had to do was explain this instead stating no worries. I will ... read more

Hilton Grand Vacations/Diamond Resorts lied to me, and said I was purchasing 5,000 points and would be guaranteed a 2-week vacation at ANY of Diamonds’ Resorts or their affiliated properties. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I was also offered a free visit to a location of my choice, to which I chose Sedona, AZ, however this trip was not how it was presented to me. We spent 3 hours for a 60 minute presentation. We were misinformed about a contract. I spoke to an attorney and determined, in less then 24 hours to cancel a contract. I was told initially that if I cancel they would immediately return my down payment. I received an e mail that it will take 10-15 days to receive a refund for a payment they charged less then 30 minutes of signing. One of the managers was rude & condescending. When you think of Hilton, you tend to think of a prominent hotel brand where you experience good times on your vacations. In 2018, we were on vacation in HawaiI and attended a sales presentation with Hilton Grand Vacations that was supposed to be a short 45-minute and a NO-OBLIGATION to purchase meeting. Upon check in at the front desk they asked us to hand over our driver’s license to “process our gifts”, BUT BEWARE, that is how they hold you hostage, because no one in their right mind is going to leave their license behind. Beware!!!! 1.After confirming my hotel booking with one of the "packages", after I purchased concert tickets, other couples paid for their hotels and their flights. Then HGV called to tell me they made a mistake and they could no longer honor my booking. I could have a refund or pick new dates. I already made arrangements to go so now I am paying $1500 in hotel rooms for a trip I only booked because of a "package" that was offered. Separate incident 2.
