goooooood.... – I took my boyfriend a few years ago here for his birthday and he loved it. He got the steak and he actually liked it. We are not much meat eaters but we know what is good when we eat it. So many places that we have gone to and are always dissatisfied. But this place had great service and wonderful ambiance.
Sambuca Rocks!! – I went to Sambuca last Sunday night. The ambience is wonderful. The food is very delicious. My bf ordered lamb and it was nice and tender and I ordered chicken and that was nice and juicy. Our waiter Eric was nice and very attentive. Seating was prompt. I will def. return.
New Dinner Menu!!! – I have been a longtime Sambuca patron, but I was prompted to write a new review for Sambuca after visiting on Saturday. My husband and I went in for a nice dinner and to enjoy the music of the Tommy Dardar Band. To our surprise we found a new fall menu. WOW - is all I can say!!! Amazing new sea bass, wonderful garlic shrimp and the best dish I have EVER had... the "Land & Sea." My regards to Chef Johnston, we were so impressed and cannot wait to go back to try more new menu items!
Yvonne Washington at Sambuca!!!! – I went to Sambuca on 8/29/05 and was pleasantly surprised to find Yvonne Washington there on the Sambuca Stage. What a treat!!!! The food & service were as wonderful as always and Ms. Washington was spectacular!!
WOW! – My wife and I have been to a lot of top notch restuarants in houston over the years but few are as memorable as Sambuca Cafe. Food, service, atmosphere, band, all incredible. The stuffed chicken was done to perfection and the crab cakes were outstanding. I have no negative comments for this venue and we look forward to many more wonderful nights at Sambuca Cafe.
Very nice place for dinner or first date... – This place is so awasome that it can be first date of dinner with friends or family. The service, food, drinks, everything is great. You can seat outside or inside. If you would like good seats come early. :)
a nice surprise – Popped in one quiet Sunday night in swealtering Houston.Listened to nice Jazz music while eating great tasting food.Had the Osso Bucco which was tasty and quite filling.Huge portion.The lamb entree was also deliscious.The evening was pleasant and the server very friendly.It wasnt busy,so it was nice to get the extra "attention". BTW...great dirty martini!!
Wonderful brunch – Sunday brunch is amazing and the service excellent. Good happy hour too.
Not so good – They spent so much money on the place but the food is not good. Music is good, but not great food. Then just turn it into a bar and do not call it a restaurant.
