Great Times and Wonderful Music – Me and my group went to Sambuca this past weekend. It's been a while since we made the visit. I used to live Downtown and now I live off of Washington Street. Sambuca is still awesome! The band name was FM and they were the so much fun.. I ordered the Seabass skewers for our appetizer, oh my gosh delicious. Very Nice Experience – I went to this place on a Monday for a first date. The vibe was perfect. It wasn't crowded, the waitstaff was attentive, and the jazz band was phenomenal. Me and my date got their about 7 and didn't leave until 10. We even got a chance to cut a rug on the dance floor. I ordered the filet and my date she ordered the filet as well, it was adequate but I thought the portion was small. All in all, I would definitely go back. Wow! – The only thing about this place is the price, but the food was great. everything was cooked right, the music was jammin, the staff were quick. One other thing, the bathroom up stairs is called the water closet (W.C.) not that its bad, its just right nexted to the tables, and that could be a little weird..
Best Brunch! – My family and i went to Sambuca for Easter brunch and let me tell you it was worth every penny!!! The live music made the day that more special and the food was TO DIE for. There wasn't an empty stomach anywhere near our table. I will for sure return for Mother's Day Brunch. I have been to Sambuca many times for happy hour and dinner but who knew they could master brunch.
Genuine supper club in the heart of Houston – I have to admit that I am madly in love with the concept behind Sambuca. If it were up to me, the old fashioned supper club would prevail and dominate nightlife everywhere. We would all dress in cocktail attire and nibble on old school staples of elegance such as escargot interspersed with dancing to live big band jazz. Sambuca Houston off the Charts – I love love love this place!! This is my favorite place to bring all of my friends and out of town visitor's to show them a good time. I hear this constant buzz about Sambuca all over town and now I'm going to lend my voice! My awful experience – It was a Valentine’s Day. I and my two girlfriends went to see a show; afterwards we decided to go to a nice restaurant. I offered Sambuca, always wanted to go to see if it’s as good as the reviews say. So, we go inside, there some other guests waiting. It looks like all the stuff just came in. It was few minutes after five, I asked hostess when they open for dinner, she said 5 (she was busy doing her preparation for the dinner and even asked us to move to put the carpet on the floor). Sambuca has a great location, great decor, great service, and so-so food. Sambuca is in a great location, right downtown. The decor is swanky, and I mean that as a compliment. The main restaurant area is very nicely furnished and I loved the dim lighting which made for a romantic atmosphere. We dined upstairs where the lighting was brighter but furnished nicely. Great night all the way around! – what a fantastic night! We were wined and dined in every way! Great food, great service, great band. Thought the nice romantic evening was perfect....then went to the bar and ended up partying like a rock star all night! Can't wait to go back!
